The Tropico Trilogy Edition features the original Tropico plus the add-on Paradise Island, Tropico 2: Pirate Cove as well as Tropico 3 and the add-on Absolute Power all in one complete pack! Will you be ruler of your very own banana republic or a feared pirate king? The choice is yours as you build your own empire and keep your people happy. But remember sometimes it’s good to be the bad guy but ruling with an iron fist can reveal a whole new world!

TROPICO - You are the sole ruler of a remote banana republic. Fight against poverty, corruption and rebels, make your own people happy or enforce your rule through military strength. However, do not forget to set aside a few dollars for your own retirement on a swiss bank account!

TROPICO - PARADISE ISLAND
- The official expansion for the original game not only brings natural disasters like tropical storms but also new tourist attractions to your island. Face the challenges of tons of new scenarios, prove yourself a worthy leader to your own people and make Tropico a paradise for wealthy visitors from overseas.

TROPICO 2 - PIRATE COVE - As a feared Pirate King, you have to keep both your buccaneers and prisoners under control and send your ships on the prowl for treasury. Apart from an entirely new setting, the official sequel to the original Tropico offers gameplay improvements, new features and scenarios.

TROPICO 3 - The time is yesterday and the Cold War is in full swing. Through means devious and dubious you have seized power in the Caribbean island country of Tropico, where you now rule as the all-powerful "El Presidente". Detailed 3D graphics, a modern interface and radio announcers make this iteration of the Tropico series more atmospheric than ever.

TROPICO 3 - ABSOLUTE POWER - The official expansion pack for the hit PC title Tropico 3. Your task is to lead a remote Caribbean island to prosperity, using whatever means necessary. Tropico Trilogy review

This pack is excellent value for money, 3 great games that while very easy to get started have a nice difficulty level to master.

While number 3 is the best looking and has the most features it is nice to get started at the beginning and the first game is a great way to get your feet wet.

If you like games like sim city you would absolutely love this game.

Lastly I would highly suggest you complete the tutorial levels it will save you a big head acre later :)

Tropico Trilogy review

As others have said before, this pack comprises Tropico 1, 2 and 3. In these games, you are the leader of an island which you must develop in order to achieve your goals, while keeping its inhabitants happy enought to remain in power.

Tropico 2 is different from the first and third one, because you do not lead a "banana republic" but a pirate hideout. I played Tropico 2 only once and I knew from the start I wouldn't like it at all.

But I LOVE Tropico 1 so much I decided to give the whole package 5 stars! There isn't much difference between T1 and T3 gameplay wise, few more buildings and a few more decisions were added in the 3rd, but its graphics are quite stunning compared to T1 and T2.

In T1 and T3, there are a number of factions with which every citizen can share ideals. Some citizens will belong to only one faction (I even saw a citizen attached to no faction at all) or it can be influenced by two or three. You must satisfy all those factions with specific needs (religious, environmentalists, capitalists, communists, intellectuals, militarists, and, in T3, nationalists and loyalists), while also providing for common needs (housing, food, entertainment, job, healthcare, etc).

Above the micromanagement of individual citizen, there's the macromanagement of your island's economy (tourism, raw materials, industry) and of your own personnal swiss bank account. Will you rule as an iron fisted tyrant, implementing a martial law and emprisoning or executing your opponents, or will you be the benevolent leader that provides its people with love and attention?

This includes Tropico 1, 2, 3 and the expansion pack for #3. Highly worth it, especially when on sale. The graphics for 1 & 2 might seem a bit dated, but it is still a good game. Tropico 3 alone is worth the money

While Tropico 3 is a solid game but doesn't offer anything you missed when you already know Tropico 4, the first two parts of the series should be owned by anyone who likes classic games with unique kind of humour. While part 1 offers the same scenario as the newest installments (but in a 2D-World), part 2 steps out of the line, making you the manager of a pirate island in the carribean. The first two games are much more challenging but less good looking than part 3. In short: If you only know part 4 or even didn't play Tropico up to this day and you can grab the Trilogy for a good price - try it!

One of the best economy management strategy series you can find. Period. Every game so far had it's charm, and it ain't gonna change soon. Prepare to lead your people trough time, as you either strive to be the good, benevolent leader, or be a mean, nasty dictator. The choice is up to you.

You ever what to own your own island? You ever want to completely and totally rule over a nation with an iron fist never relenting and never forgiving until you teach all those who laughed at you! If so, seek help. But if you want to play a collection of fun city or island management games this is it! As El Presidento you can eitehr build a new little island with freedom or well see above. This leads to interesting situations where you have to please certain groups to win, they can be harmless groups like a PETA or EPA ripoff to a Crimelord that will destroy everything you have ever known and loved. All and all this is a fantastic game to sink a ton of time into. Fans of sims will love this one for sure.

Great trilogy, the evolution of the game has gone thru great strides and this shows in the ease of gameplay, and learning curve as well as the enjoyability thru functionality.

tropico 3, being the most recent in the trilogy, is the most fun with the best graphics, and the game dynamics are very straight forward but at the same time "challenging" to manage, based on many factors.

highly recommend + tropico & tropico 2 are tons of fun as well.

Democracry is the worst regime, to the exception of all others. Well, Tropico gives you the opportunity to try variations on the "others". The tree games together with their expansions are great value, although II & III are the one you will want to play, for their diversity and because they are graphically better than the first. SO let's get a good old bottle of rum, a big habana and do not forget to declare martial law at home ...
