About the Game

Complete your Sins of a Solar Empire experience with Sins of a Solar Empire - Trinity. This new bundle pack includes the original Sins of a Solar Empire, plus the Entrenchment and Diplomacy expansions.

Sins of a Solar Empire - "The independent Trader Worlds must unite to defend themselves against the return of their exiled brethren - 'The Advent' and the arrival of the desperate remnants of the ancient Vasari Empire."

Sins of a Solar Empire is an innovative real-time strategy game featuring seamless transition between epic strategy and tactical combat modes, initiating what is already becoming known as the RT4X sub-genre. A galaxy of intriguing aliens, powerful starships, and colossal planets comes to life with stunning 3D graphics, unparalleled sense of scale, and a cinematic musical score. Explore and conquer nearby planets and distant solar systems by applying brute force, cunning strategy, elegant diplomacy, economic mastery, and researched technology.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Entrenchment - "After nearly 15 years, the war which raged across dozens of star systems is nearing a stand-still. The great fleets of the Trader Emergency Coalition, the Vasari Empire and the Advent are near stalemate. With the fronts temporarily stabilized, there is time to regroup, and entrench. Great defensive battlestations are being deployed and critical choke points fortified. Will this buy the TEC, Vasari or Advent enough time to organize an all-out offensive?"

Entrenchment is the first micro-expansion for Sins of a Solar Empire, adding new structures, new technologies, and numerous other improvements to one of the most popular and award-winning PC titles of 2008.

Explore entirely new strategies with new units like starbases, mine layers, and defense busters and brand new research technologies to customize and improve them. Each race relies more on their unique strengths than ever before, resulting in new defensive options and the necessary evolution of new offensive strategies.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Diplomacy - Plagued by the continuous war, the factions have become weak and begin to seek refuge in the amiable sub-factions of their enemies in an attempt to find some solace.

The Vasari fear the worst, as they know all too well that the end is near for their race if something radical isn't done within these fleeting moments.

Members of the TEC notice a change in their constituents as many have shown menacing qualities of greed and self fulfillment. A search begins for an answer outside of their own kind.

All the while, many of the Advent are growing sympathetic to both the populations of the Vasari and TEC. They are becoming disillusioned by the path they chose, but now suspect it was either manipulated or drastically misguided.

One of the best in the 4x genre. No storyline-based campaign but challenging matches, beautiful graphics, and a well-polished engine. Individual games can take days so don't forget to stock up on canned food and bottled water.

Very fun, was exactly what I was hoping it would be. Steep curve, quite pretty.

I haven't been as addicted to a game since I played Guild 2 Renaissance. This is really fun, especially multiplayer with friends. The AI has many difficulty levels, and I though I haven't played much yet, I don't share the opinion that the AI is predictable and easy. And you could always team them up against you - fun, challenging, complex, epic.

A thoughtfully made game and is one of the most prominent titles in the 4X genre. Though it lacks a story component and all you have is skirmish type gameplay, it is quite satisfactory and even more so with some of the best mods for it out there.

Starting small to become a galactic giant does take quite a long time and often 8+ players games drag on for days and could even be played for a week and if you have friends who can accompany you on this epic little game, you'll get the most fun out of it.

Recommended to anyone who loves 4X space games with giant ships shooting lasers/missiles at each other.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity is an epic and complex bit of 4X fun. The game is highly addictive, well balanced, and decently in depth. The game keeps you busy managing vast empires across star systems, balancing research, trade, diplomacy, and military development, and exploring and claiming territories - great fun, especially with friends, with quit a fair bit of scalability in terms of both challenge and size. Overall, a great way to lose all of your free time.

Except for the absence of the storyline, it seems to be a valid Homeworld sobstitute, thanks to the two expansions pack it lasts for a good amount of playgame.

Controls are quite easy to learn thanks to a four steps tutorial.

It can be really funny the multiplayer skirmish with friends.

Overall definetly a game to buy for something like 5 euros, maybe I wouldn't buy it for the entire price which is 19.90, a little because the graphic is not "amazing" and because for some more money you could buy the second episode that seems to be more complete and has a better looking.

I bought this game while it was on sale, with only a small amount deducted. I'm also not a huge fan of the RTS genre so I was pleasantly surprised at what this game had to offer.

Being a game in the style of 4X (explore, expand, extort, exterminate), you start with a small handful of ships and a planet, and head out to conquer the galaxy playing as one of three races. In order to do this you have to carefully manage both your economy and military strength.

The graphics are good enough to do the job with some flourish.

Being a beginner to this genre I found the UI slightly confusing and there seems to be a fairly steep learning curve but this game is great once you learn the ropes, with games going on for a good length of time.
