Postal 3

Rating: 3.5 (110 votes cast)

Good or Insane? The choice is yours.

Following the Apocalyptic end to the Postal Dude’s week in Paradise, we follow him and his insane pitbull Champ as they emigrate to it’s appropriately named sister city, Catharsis. Unfortunately, due to the Global Economic Meltdown, psychotic left-wing “Green” extremism and hypocritical Government corruption, it turns out Catharsis isn’t a much better place to live.

What path will you choose when faced with the antics of a hypocritical scheming Mayor? A berserk cartoon mascot with Al Qaeda ties? A former Vice-President’s cadre of Eco-Zealots? How about Gay Segway “biker” gangs, and a sociopathic cult leader Uncle with nuclear ambitions? Will you give in to your base instincts and fight fire with gasoline? Or will you rise above it to become something more, to serve and protect your fellow citizens from the rampant insanity of our modern society?

Key features:

  • Edgy, satirical Running With Scissors sense of humor
  • A world of twisted parody inspired by real people, events and philosophies
  • Large, detailed, interactive environments
  • Crazy POSTAL style Vehicle gameplay
  • NPC’s react to your behavior in a variety of surprising ways
  • Multiple story paths determined by your behavior
  • Celebrity characters: Super porn star Ron Jeremy, Village People Cowboy Randy Jones, Internationally hated film director Uwe Boll and Playboy Playmate Jennifer Walcott
  • Appearances by other popular Running With Scissors character franchises: Krotchy, Champ and the Postal Babes, who will fight along side you (or sometimes against you!)
  • Insane new gameplay including the Helper Monkey, Grenade Cats and the BadgerSaw
  • Kill Uwe Boll! (or save him!)

downfall that annoyed me were 2 factors

frist any free roam has been removed you just get shipped job to job

A disappointing game compared to Postal 2. What Happened? The game's idea's, weapons and humor all were great. However, what absolutely destroyed the game was the camera and controls. RWS WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? A third person perspective? The joy of postal 2 was how easy it was. The controls were unbelievably simple. But Postal 3 is almost un-usable. This completely ruined the game for me.

A terrible game that is broken in every way. If you decide to play it know that unless you enjoy laughing at glitches and how bad the game is and not the complete failed attempt at comedy you won't get any enjoyment from this game.

Avoid this game! Postal 2, while never quite gelling as a total experience, at least offered some visceral thrills for those of us with a twisted sense of humor. This third entry can't even manage that much. This is a comedy game that fails as both comedy and game, the cheapness of its design evident in every detail, or lack thereof.

Sort of disappointed from the work put on this game, filled with bugs like Melee combat being not too accurated to NPC's freezing up while you do a mission, in the end this game will keep you busy for a few hours, if you have the chance get postal 2, that's better, even if is old.

I don't understand why people are hating on this game.. Obviously it is seriously flawed with bugs and graphical errors, but over all that, there is still some of that classic postal humor, and it looks pretty nice on the source engine. From me, this game only gets a 7. I would give it an 8 or 9 if they were to implicate free roam and make some bug fixes

Not worth the Money

Complete garbage. Buggy, repetitive gameplay, unfunny jokes, and upright boring. This game sucks.

Still have fond memories of Postal 2, but since they announced Postal 3, i was all ears.

Now since December it's finally out, and i must say that i'm pleased.

Ok...there are still some bugs (like multi core and Windows 64 bit issues) to be resolved and free-roam to be added, but it's quite a nice start to be honest.

There may be some negative prof. reviews on the net, but that didn't stop me from buying it.

If you love these types of games, it's a lot better to find out yourself to make your own opinion.

Love it or hate it i would say.

So the big question is, is it worth the name Postal 3? I think so!

Would recommend it for anyone who enjoyed Postal 2, but that's about it. Often boring and repetitive but has pretty good features as a third-person shooter. Unoptimized and buggy, so if that's a turn off then stay away from the game. Humor isn't as sharp as Postal 2 and often edges towards retardation levels, but still funny.

Subjective opinion.

Coming from postal 2, i was dissapointed there was no free roam, but the story, the humor and the extremely fun gameplay keeps me playing, youll also go back to it to try and do things differently and see what changes. It doesn't have multiplayer, though it was probably planned to be there if you watch the credits. Ast it is right now, it's quite expensive, but if you like postal's sense of humor and overall gameplay, i recommend it.

In my opinion, this game is fun! I love the gore and the story. The many options in this game make it that the game will last for a long time. RWS did a great job on this.
