This game gave me a lot of trouble. First, it installed some "Microsoft XNA arcgitecture" without warning me or telling me what that actually is. Then it didn't ask for an install location. Then it didn't even work on my netbook, since for some reason it requires hardware transform & lighting. (To be fair, I could have seen that by checking the game's requirements more thoroughly, I just didn't expect a game that's graphically so simple to have such requirements.) I then wanted to uninstall the game, but I can't even see where it installed itself to. I don't see a way to uninstall the "XNA architecture" either. So I now have a game that doesn't work and two undesired pieces of software installed lord knows where on my netbook.
Usually all this would justify a one-star rating, but if the game works, it's actually pretty nice. Repetitive, but nice. Maneuvering one's craft among the asteroids while blasting them apart is fun, and controlling the craft is actually easier than expected (the craft only moves when you press a key, and stops when the key isn't pressed anymore, so it's easier to come to a full stop than in other games of this genre).
Side note: another review describes this game as similar to Space Invaders. This was probably a mistake, the game has nothing to do with Space invaders. It's more or less a remake of the classic "Asteroids", which was a very successful game from the same period.
