It should work, some people though with codec pack installs and some 3rd party apps have proved difficult to run the game in Vista and upwards.

Just be wary.

The only problem you might face in a Vista and up platform for old games is the glitch infested graphics or the game not running.

Glitch solution:
Use onboard graphics if you have a dedicated graphic card and your motherboard supports lucid logix Virtu use that and switch to on board graphics to play Victoria Revolutions. If you have old PC hardware pre 2005 then it should work fine.

Game not running solution:
Make sure you are the administrator first, right click on the games icon and in the compatibility options bar select Windows XP SP3. This should make all your games run.
If your game gives an error regarding the 32-bit and 64-bit conflict, you have a pretty old game when the 64-bit computing didnt come out, for that, get a 32-bit PC.
