Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp

Half screen Black

By nofear13 posted 4th Aug 2013

I have a problem with Dragon's Lair 2, if I start it the upper half of my screen is black, also in the main MenĂ¼, the overlay goes over the half black of the Background-Video.

Any ideas, or someone else have the same problem?

have you been able to play the before without these problems?

Hmm I suspect it is your aspect ratio that troubled , what resolution you used and the size of your monitor ?

@blackninja362: No, I buyed the game today
@ Andreasqiao: My Screen is 1680:1050 (16:10) and I can't choose a resolution of Dragon's Lair 2, the game is always 1280:720 (16:9) but it doesn't work with and without Fullscreen. The bug is also only for the videos the Overlay-Elements looks fine

Try running the game in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows. Windows 98 if you're on XP, Windows XP if you're on Windows 7 or 8 and so on.

If that fails, the game is published by Digital Leisure, Inc. Here's their support e-mail address. Maybe they can help:

Try this method, right click on Dragon's Lair II exe or shortcut if you have one in your desktop and then choose "shortcut" and on "run" option pick Minimized. Then try enter the game again and see if it works.

@oogla: already tried didn't work. I try the support.

Probably Windows update KB2803821, more programs and games are affected by this update.
You can delete this update in the Windowsupdater, reboot and the game most likely works full screen.

I had the same issue with Motogp 13
