I need 5 minutes to decipher you post.
How did you purchased the game if is region lock in USA?Did you use gamersgate.co.uk?
They sell steam key,so Gamersgate are not responsible about Steam region lock, since there is written DRM STEAM,Valve is responsible.
You should wait untill 2 January and contact support if you want a refund, but i doubt you will get one.

One steam did not have this game on sale on friday gamersgate did
Two i have bought many games here that are steam codes and had zero problem with any of the other games
Untill this game
It is listed here and not steam on games i bought
In steam it says it reincarnation and in the common directory it says rebirth
Steam did have rebirth on sale but it was in russian
I dont know how to speak russian
This is suppoda be the english translation of rebirth
But if steam doesnt list it as a game for sale smart*** why oh why would it be them to pay me my money
I have never got something on steam that wouldnt work
Untill this game
Try to type in disciples 3 reincarnation here and try to buy it you cant

Other users have the same problem on the Steam forums (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2982528&page=2). This game has just been released and appears to have some problems with the way that the developers created the english version.

GamersGate don't usually provide refunds for keys that have already been redeemed but in this case they might do if no solution is provided by the developer, you can always ask them about this when they reply to your existing ticket (modifying or adding tickets will put you to the back of the queue). Chances are you will have to give support time to contact the publisher/developer/Valve to find a solution to this before they will refund your money.

If you have any more details on the problem that you can provide then there may be other possible solutions that can be applied in the mean time.

1. Rebirth = Reincarnation. These are the same games.

2. Bought this game on GG and do not have any problems with Steam.

3. Game has english language on Steam.

4. It does not matter that the game is not on Steam. I activated it without any problems.

5. What is the problem? I don't understand.

What it tells me now

A BEX event is apparently a buffer overflow exception. It seems odd that this is happening for you but not for kjx.

Have you tried verifying the local files? (Go to the game in your steam library->right click->properties->Local Files->Verify Integrity of Game Cache...

Also make sure all your drivers are fully up to date.

Maybe it's Windows 7 fault? I play on Win XP.

By amerksfan posted 31st Dec 2012

By lbst posted 31st Dec 2012

I have the game too and without any problem.
I bought it here and activate it on steam. The game's not public but run anyway and with english language. Moreover I run it on Windows 7.

By soitre posted 31st Dec 2012

I bought it yesterday and play it normally on Windows 7 too.

I'm in the UK and bought Disciples: Reincarnation the other day. When I try to run it from steam it brings up an ACTCONTROL drm dialog box and asks me for a serial, which neither steam nor gamersgate provided (Yes I tried the steam key- it didn't work).

I'm on win 7 64 bit. I have a ticket in about this.

Even if I get given a serial, I'm unhappy that the store page didn't mention this hardware based activation drm from a dead developer. (Who can I contact if it runs out of activations?)

By raistand posted 1st Jan 2013

graspee - steam key should work. My did. Maybe it's a problem with firewall or some antivirus program?

By graspee posted 2nd Jan 2013

The steam key did work in the end. The problem was the design of the gamersgate web page. The code was shown with the last character missed off. The serial is written into its own borderless area which scrolls. When I activated the code on steam I must have selected all of the code including the hidden character to the right but when I was trying to use the code in the ACTCONTROL screen I must have not selected all of it.
