How to make installers stop repeatedly asking for username / password

By Tzell posted 4th August 2012

I get this message each time I try to activate an installer. Even if I quit the same installer and enter it again after a second, it always asks me to enter my username / password all over again. Is there a way to 'save' this setting so gamersgate installers wouldn't ask for for my username / password each and every single time I activate them?

I don't think there is an option for that.

Hmm. The installer very rarely asks me for a password. I'm not entirely sure how it works, but are you logged into GG when you start the downloader? I _think_ the only asks me for login data if I haven't logged into the website for a while (or if I'm using it from a different computer), but it happens so rarely that I'm not sure I remember it correctly.

@Psyringe: I'm logged on into the site while running the installers. mmm I wonder why the installer bugs me and not you then :P

It only happens to me if I'm using an exe that has been stored on my harddrive for some time. If I download it directly from the site it opens without asking me to log in.

The installers have server tokens which timeout. Simple as that.

In my case it happens evey a minute after downloading an installer exe. Could it be related to router / portforwarding ?

Some of their downloader and installers are different from the rest. Mostly the games on Void ask me for login info, but if it's a game i have paid for the downloader does not ask for login info. Doesn't matter how long the downloader for a game i own has been on my hard drive so far, those have never asked for my login info.

Thats odd, why would they use two different types of installers?

He's talking about installers for Void vs regular installers. I haven't seen a Void installer yet, but it's conceivable that they are different from the regular ones.

I'm guessing two installer types for two different functions. The one for games you own won't be available without a purchase but does not check for login info. The one for free games via Void checks your login info and to see if the previous game was uninstalled and deactivated from your account.
