Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 UK
i have successfully installed red alert 3 on my computer but it is saying i am putting in the wrong registration code?? it says it will might b in the game manual but when i go to open the manual i just get a blank page
Check the back cover of the manual or inside the game box or on a sheet inserted in the box with the game.
go to your library and click on the game itself and on the right bar check to see if you have a code available.
Go to my shelf > all games, select it, at the right under the picture of the game you should see a blue box saying "show key" . It's next to the download link. Use that one.
Do you have any problem with my message? I wrote the answer with my phone and I'm not too fast. You wrote and clicked send MEANWHILE.
As now I'm on my PC I can also add this image http://i.imgur.com/OsdMH.png

@HelDoRe: GameTutor is meant to provide assistance for games bought at (or services provided by) GamersGate. So when someone asks a question here, we can assume that it's about the GamersGate version of the game, not a boxed version. Thus, when people are talking about a manual here, the are usually referring to a PDF file that's either part of the installation, or provided as an extra download.
@Bazoril: I have to admit I didn't understand your last comment either, but it probably won't help us finding a solution anyway, so let's not dwell on it. :)
Regarding the message about the manual: The message that the game gave you is misleading. For digitally downloaded games, you will never find a key inside a manual - the game just "thinks" that you got a boxed version, and gives you message that was meant for owners of those. Nevertheless, reading the manual might be useful for playing the game, so if you only see a blank page when opening it, then install the latest version of Acrobat Reader (assuming that the file is in PDF format), and try again.
Regarding the activation problem: Elder already gave you excellent advice on this (thanks, Elder, for even uploading a picture). If this doesn't solve the problem, please describe as exactly as possible what doesn't work, and at which step it fails to work.
iv downloaded the new acrobat reader, but the manual is still coming up blank. the point i cant get past, it says - please enter the entire registration code found either in your confirmation email, your game manual/product packaging, or game card. then it tells me to re-enter it because its wrong so i have to click dont continue then it tells me - this registration code is invalid for this product. i think its because im putting the 16 digit serial code?? the picture i was sent doesnt show up on mine like that, it has the red alert 3 pic with download underneath and then serial 1- (16 diget code)
The picture was just for illustration how the system works. Elder probably would have shown you a picture of Red Alert 3 if he owned it, but I think he doesn't, so uploading a picture from another game was the best remaining way to demonstrate how it should look.
Okay - as I understand it, you _are_ seeing a serial for Red Alert 3 in your gamersgate library, however the game itself doesn't accept that code.
Make sure that you enter the code exactly as it's displayed, you can mark and copy/paste it. If that doesn't work, try entering it with or without dashes, all lowercase, or all uppercase.
If that doesn't work, then there are four possibilities I can see:
a) The code might be meant for redeeming the game in Origin (and downloading/installing it through Origin afterwards), try if that works.
b) The code might be region-specific for the UK, and you bought the UK version of the game without being located there, so the DRM doesn't let you activate it.
c) Something went wrong while installing the game; temporarily disable your antivirus and leave it off until you've successfully activated the game. (This is unlikely to be the reason in your specific case though, install problems usually lead to different problems than the one you described).
d) You have been given a faulty activation code. ontact GamersGate support (a link is at the bottom of the page) and ask for a replacement code.
So you're copying that code and pasting in the installation process?
Forget the manual for the code. Anyway you can find some documentation, instructions and help on these links:
@Psyringe he thinks I've copied his message, just forget it.
