Exactly what it promises. It Will not make the game any better but if you enjoyed blasting your way through the original content it is pretty much more of the same and worth a couple bucks.

More Shiny Serious Sam Shootin'

By Andy117 posted 4th December 2012

Serious Sam 3: BFE was possibly the best shooter of 2011 - and was definitely my favourite. Jewel of the Nile is more of the same, really. Which gets a little sad, really. The extra weapons don't equate to much more than making what was once secret part of Sam's key arsenal, and the "axe" is exactly the same as the sledgehammer. The level design remains nice and open, with plenty of secrets - many hiding in plain sight now, the gang at Croteam being the trolls they are - and the plot... well. The least said about the plot, the better.

But despite all that this is still worth buying because, like a fine wine, Serious Sam 3's gunplay as aged well. Its especially refreshing to play around this year's AAA shooters releases, just as it was when it launched last year. Sometimes its just nice to have more wide open spaces, an opportunity to fall in love with the minigun all over again. To jump as the "AAAAHHHH!" gets a little louder and explodier than you'd have hoped it to get. If ever there was an excuse to launch back up Serious Sam 3, this DLC is it - and for that, it is definitely worth the asking price. Give it a shot!
