I used mp3gain to bring the volume up to match the original AW pieces. I like the additional music.

Europa Universalis III: Music of the World review

These tracks are decent, but frankly not on par with Andreas Waldetoft's other contributions to the various Paradox games, including his DLC contributions. I'm not sure Waldetoft is actually behind the music in this DLC pack: neither the Steam page nor the Gamersgate page for this DLC list Waldetoft as the composer, and his website makes no mention of having contributed anything to a Paradox game since his Crusader Kings 2 DLC. In fact, I haven't been able to find anything on the internet yet that attributes this music to Waldetoft. If he's not behind these songs, it shows; if he is, he needs to step his game back up, because these aren't really up to snuff. I give the DLC pack 3 stars rather than 2 simply because of the number of tracks, far larger than any of the additional music DLC Paradox has released for any of its games (which is another reason to think someone other than Waldetoft is responsible for these -- typically, Waldetoft music DLC encompasses 3 to 5 tracks at most, as opposed to the whopping 21 here, for the same price -- Waldetoft doesn't come cheap). I'd say you can probably pass on this, unless you're a feverish Paradox loyalist like myself and must have every DLC for every game.

A Major disappointment. Having listened to Andreas Waldertofts music for Paradox for many years, I jumped at the chance for this. Mea Culpa I should have looked to see if it WAS music by Andreas. It isn't. I am glad; when the first of these tracks came on, it was awful. I persevered, but to no avail. They have all been now deleted from my EU3 directory.

The music itself is too quiet (against the other EU3 tracks), too simplistic, plinky-plinky and thoroughly montomous.

If you want a different soundtrack, I would thoroughly advice just putting on a CD than wasting any money on this alas, unless you just wish to give Paradox money I suppose. Otherwise?

A major disappointment.

Ever felt like the game can get repetative? With this add-on you will get a nice fresh breeze to EU experience. Also, very nice to listen to it off-game. Fully recommend that.

Thumb up for adding more variaty in the EU3's music. Would be better if they are included in the base game, but $5 for the sound tracks is reasonable. Get it on sale and/or with Blue coins are the best options.

This music pack greatly exceeded my expectations both in the number of tracks and their quality. After playing EU3 for years the music, while good had gotten so repetitive that I turned it off most of the time. No longer! This pack adds quite a lot of new music and I found all of it very enjoyable and fitting to the game, so it has definitely enhanced my EU3 experience.

Very nice DLC which adds quite a number of songs. Helps further the amount of game play yet has one small bug, the songs aren't the same volume as the other Vanilla songs. Not much to complain however and definitely worth it's price.

Music in the Europa Universalis III game was excellent but could get a little repetitive. This set of songs help to the immersion and makes the game more enjoyable. It has quite a long playtime, and I have found the songs until now very appropiate to the spirit of the game. The price is good if we take into account how many songs are included, but if you can find it discounted and want some new full EU3-style songs for your game, then it is a must.
