Crusader Kings II: Songs of Byzantium review

While I'm generally not a fan of mini-DLCs such as these, Andreas Waldetoft's work for Paradox-developed games is top-notch. This song pack in particular is really good; I ended up converting the files to .mp3 and putting it on my iPod just so I could listen to it. I would recommend picking it up along with Legacy of Rome. If you don't feel it's worth paying a dollar, you could wait for a sale or simply purchase it with blue coins. If you're fond of the music style in Crusader Kings II, make sure you grab this DLC.

Well, it is a mini-dlc that isn't required for a good game play of Crusader Kings 2. It does however enchant your experience with some well made music that is just as phenomenal as the original Crusader Kings 2 music.

I would rate it 5 stars if it wasn't for the thing that I am sick and tired of gaming companies making new dlcs all the time even if they could just as well add them in one big dlc or in the main game.

You will do just fine without this, but as I said; it completes the Legacy of Rome DLC and your CK2 experience!

Some good song that adds flavor when playing as the Byzantium. Worth getting if you like the music and wants more of it and are planning to play as the Byzantium.

It's not a must have add-on, but it add some variation to the stock soundtrack with three new songs that fits very well the medieval era. A good investment of GG blue coins!

Different music is a nice addition to the Legacy of Rome DLC. I'm not sure whether it is worth the money but if you use headphones or play it loud the original music can get monotonous. Puts you into the Byzantine spirit.

Like the Byzantine unit pack, these songs go well with the Legacy of Rome DLC. You get some nice flavor tunes while you stomp the Turks and Latins.

Crusader kings 2 music is really awesome and this one is no exception. If you want to diversify music while playing long hours this DLC is worth getting.

If you're like me, and enjoy listening to scores on these games to add to the atmosphere. But get tired of hearing the same songs over and over, then you should pick up this DLC. I ended up getting it for 75% off, and it was well worth the price. It might not add to gameplay mechanics, but it does help with immersion.

A minor improvement of the game. It is not essential in any measure. $1.00 is around the acceptable price, even better if you can catch a sale, there's no reason not to make you game more beautiful. (considering you'll spend a lot of hours in this game.)

Nothing too earth-shattering, just another handful of lovely songs to accompany the newest bit of expansion content.

I thought this would just be filler but I was wrong. The new songs really do immerse you with Imperial themes that make you feel like you are truly the successor to the Ancient Rome. Add the Byzantine Unit pack and you really be feelings it!
