Who do you want to be today in Crusader Kings II?
It is the question that every player faces; still finding that perfect character to play is always the challenge. You may have found the perfect place but well the man who has it just isn’t quite right. A stat is a little too low, that trait is a little annoying, he could really do with a son and heir, the less said about the nose the better, and why does he have such a stupid name?
Well now with the new Crusader Kings II Ruler Designer DLC all these are in your hands. Customize your character your way. Tweak and change any aspect of the character or even create an all new character and dynasty to play with.
Create your portrait, change the name and dynasty and even customize your coat of arms. Change traits and stats at will and decide the size of the immediate family.
The game that lets you choose your goals now will let you choose your character.

Features:

  • Customize your portrait
  • Name your Dynasty and design a Coat of Arms
  • Assign skill points and traits
  • Create a spouse and children
  • Replace a historical character with your own

Crusader Kings II: Ruler Designer review

A fun little tool, should you feel the need to swerve from the historically accurate path which can be fun from time to time.

This allows for a more custom look to your ruler and his house, so why not add your own family to the game and see how far you can make it.

Not a required dlc but allows a refreshing spin on history.

While this is a simple DLC, it's reach and fun is far reaching. Enjoying Crusader Kings, and any of the mods it now has, with the freedom of creating your own house and family is immense. I have put so much time into creating characters with this feature and it's extended the gameplay and world by so much. If you love CK2, I highly recommend getting it and enjoying raising your own dynasty

Never thought when I got this that I would put so much tme and thought into my starting character. I it really addicting and very cool to see your own last name as a dynasty. Total cusomizaiton shows that paradox did not skimp on options for this DLC.

I reccomend this to any CK2 palyer. Great way to begin your game.

The best part about this system is being able to name your own dynasty. It is a nice feature to be able to customize your first ruler, and it does give you a leg up early in the game, but it is truly a great feeling to see my last name spread across the entire map in dynasty view during the end game.

A okey addition to the game. It supposed to give a more immensed feeling for your playthrough. However, I'll have to say it feels a bit out of place since CK2 has not really focused that much on the personality of characters.

Really fun to use, but sometimes makes you get carried away and make stupid things like a Sunni Mongol Holy Roman Emporer named Derp McDerpins. (AH Bliss)

I have to say, I'm not sure what the point is. I downloaded it because I thought it would be an interesting experience, taking history's actor and changing them person by person, but there's very little documentation and more concern was paid to balance than fun, it seems. If you're really into the concept, than go ahead. Just don't go in thinking you'll be able to change the path of history too much.
