New interesting shields are always a bonus rather than having the same old shields used in every game.

Two stars for the research that went into making the shields historically accurate. Definitely not essential though as gameplay or the overall look of the game isn't affected at all. I bought it to be a completionist and because it was only 25p in a sale!

Just a cosmetic DLC, but for the price, it adds some cool new shields, adding flavor to an already awesome game.

Worth getting if like me you are keen on accuracy or want to support the game. Otherwise not much to miss.

Like most of the DLC for CK2, this doesn't affect gameplay. It does, however, add some nice family crests to the game. Not exactly worth the $2 asking price, but I do want to support the developer, and ended up buying it on sale.

This is not all only for the history geek. Everyone might actually learn something using this DLC. And the kick of the additional mind-cinema kick you get when you know some of the actual history behind those shields, as you (try to) bend the history of Europe and beyond to your will, is just gorgeous. This DLC is for flavor, only but essential if you want more than just play a game.

Adds some immersion to vanilla CK2, but I cannot help but think that maybe these might have been included on release day.

Nevertheless a welcome addition, sometimes I choose my dynasty based on whether the coat of arms is historical or generated.

A minor improvement of the game. It is not essential in any measure. $2.00 is a bit price for such a minor update, but if you can catch a sale, there's not reason not to make you game more beautiful. (considering you'll spend a lot of hours in this game.)

If you like to play a bit more authentical this dlc might intest you. it adds some nice insignias.

Dynasty Shields adds some nice new faction emblems to the game, which is nice, if not particularly noteworthy.

Another great DLC by paradox! It adds immersion by updating famous, real-life families to have the historical coat of arms. For $2, very much worth it, not to mention the bonus of supporting PDS and thanking them for their continued quality support for CK2.
