Really fun tower defense game. Lots of custom weapons and traps and killing orcs is just too much fun. Works well on my low end laptop.

Orcs Must Die! Game of the Year Edition review

This game is really nice, but the 1st episode is missing all the magnificence that the second one has, such as a cooperative campaign, which is perfect for this kind of game. Orcs must die! is a game very different from many other, where you are a knight that has to fight against lots of orcs that are going to try to conquer an objective. Your goal is to kill them before they can get there. To help you doing so, you have to place traps, but you can still use many different weapons to try to defeat the enemies faster. At the beginning of each level you can choose all the traps and weapons that you want to use throughout the level, and you start with a certain amount of money to build at least the ones you need to start. You gain money by killing enemies, and you can spend it during the game to place some other traps. The game has a really nice gameplay, full of action and headshots. As I said, it would have been nice to have the cooperative campaign since the first episode, because it may be a little bit boring after a while. Basically the game hasn't got a story (I mean, it has one, but it's not the best one ever, and it is not really interesting), so you just have to get into the level and slay the orcs. Dying means starting the level again. At the end of each level, you get a rating, so you can choose to play again the level in order to get the best rating. It is a stylish game, it has a nice graphics, perfect for the kind of game the developers wanted to develop, and it is completely enjoyable. I would suggest this game to a friend, even if I still think that the second one is way better.

Great game. I used to play it on friend's pc and ow get one from gamergates. It's a suitable combination of action and strategy video game (maybe plus fps but using a third-person action-oriented viewpoint). This game never disappoint me, it also give a bunch of fun. The only weak point of this game is no multi-player, so u cannot play it with your friend in the same time.

A good blend of tower defence, RPG, action and shooting gameplay elements. You can just play a level or two and kill some orcs to release stress, or you can have a more serious play and plan every trap you place. It is certainly one of the most interesting tower defence game out there. This one is recommended for new comers.

I was a sad panda to see there was no Mac support for this game. Then I was fortunate enough to receive a free copy of Crossover Mac from the generous people at CodeWeavers, just for voting this year.

I saw that this game was supported by Crossover, so I bought it. Then I noticed they were Steam keys. Rut-roh Raggy....

No worries, Steam turns out to be a supported program as well. I installed Steam, downloaded the game and it runs perfectly. No longer do I have to suffer the teeming hordes of orcs! I now have the ability to spend hours and hours killing the smelly, green brutes. (what, you don't have smell-o-vision on your PC? It's been standard on the Mac since I just made it up!)

So, boring review short, (tl;dr), Mac or PC, this is a great game at an awesome price and if you don't buy it, well, then I guess you'll save a bit of money, but miss out on a fantastic game.

This game is pretty amazing! I love the way that it's not just a standard tower defense game. and usually i'm against using DLC but in this case it's not such a bad thing.

I would recommend this game to pretty much anyone :)

While the game is fun, dlcs ruin any game for me if I have to get more than 1-2 just to get all the content. But the dlcs for this game don't have that kind of feeling and that in itself is a feat.

While not a true Tower-defense and FPS, Orcs Must Die is a game to own by all. There are plenty of traps, tactics, and weapons to choose from; there are endless possibilities to win a map.

Orcs Must Die is a great single player game. For those who have a buddy they can play with, the sequel is a must have for the co-op experience.

Wasn't very sure about this tower defense genre and I kept seeing this game all over the place... so I downloaded the demo and within the first few minutes I was hooked! Didn't even have to finish the demo to know I wanted to buy it! Great game, great price!
