When cleaning up an old PC I stumbled across HOMM3... I went and found the HOMMV and downloaded here. All I can say is wow... quite the change from the old series but still has that same feel. Battles are fun with the new graphics. I found overall the game to play well, although sometimes the camera angles made it hard to see things on the map. That is my real only complaint to this successor to a long line of great games bearing the HOMM name

With all the expansions, patches and gameplay balances this game is best modern homam game. Heroes VI are quite good but they need to ripe first. For the price 8.99 on sale you have great price for game which is fun until end of your life :)

To sum up - you get great campaign for basic game + 6 different towns, for hammers of fate you'll get another town, and finally with tribes of the east (it's also stand alone) you'll get new town + possibility to have alternative to upgraded unit. In fact it multiplies number of creatures so much that the fun given by first two releases is exponentially magnified. Not mentioning that you'll get tons of new maps and 2 other epic campaigns, artifacts, neutral creatures and much more.

Why buy the game and expansions separately when you can get them all bundled together? This pack offers HoMM 5 and its two expansions for a bundled price. It's truely a good deal!

Even tough no game in the series has been able to surpass the wonderfull HoMM 3, this one comes close. After the debacle of HoMM 4 they return to quite a lot of HoMM 3 features, but then all in a 3d environment. Especially with the expansion this is a must-have game for any turn-based fan.
