At the edge of humanity, there’s nothing to stop you falling.

When former SWAT commander Adam Jensen is forced to undergo cybernetic augmentation, he discovers that the boundary between man and machine is a point of no return. Uncover the truth behind a global conspiracy in a first-person role-playing game where you must combine combat, stealth, hacking and social interaction to determine the course of human evolution.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Ultimate Edition review

By wondrous posted 4th April

Deus Ex comes out in a time of great innovation. It is a RPG style FPS where stealth is the key. The graphics are smooth and the game play is solid. It gave me 30 hours of fun for all achievements. With its unique assassination system that allows you to stealthy creep up being your victim on break there neck, then hide the body or go in with guns blazing and tear the house down with your variety of guns. The choice between brute strength and stealth made the game fun and challenging. The character and dialogue are the best ever. I quote lines to my friends everyday. There are also several side-missions,and for many of them you can choose different ways to accomplish them. Overall: this game is great if you love stealth games. A small problem is that the dx 10 may crash for my case as I am using a laptop. However, dx9 works smoothly.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Ultimate Edition review

In this day and time, is it possible to surpass the classics of the legendary era of gaming? The answer is yes, at least in case of Human Revolution. Instead of making a so-so sequel in an attempt to cash in on the success of the first Deus Ex game (and to some extent the second one), the team behind this third installment in the series went the extra mile and then some. A fantastic return to the corrupted, desolate world of Deus Ex!

By the way, I recommend that you first install the game and The Missing Link add-on, but leave the DLCs for later. This is because the DLCs cannot be removed after activating them on Steam, and they introduce some elements that some consider unnecessary or unfitting in terms of the game story.

This game is one of my all-time favorites, and nearly matches the excellence of the originals. The open-ended approach, story, characters and world are all excellent. The only flaw is the boss fights, but since I played through as a sniper, those battles were not terrible. The boss fights could be a major problem if playing through as a complete stealth person, but weapons are provided. That said, an awesome all-around game that I will definitely be replaying, and highly recommend to anyone.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Ultimate Edition review

Deus Ex: Human Revolution, like its augmented hero, is a step above its mundane peers. With its flowing, open approach to mission structure, thoroughly engrossing story and gorgeous visuals, this is the kind of game that all others should strive to be. While there are some elements that don't feel quite as developed as they should have been, and augmentation is more Hobson's choice than true choice, Human Revolution provides a level of quality that only the most adamant cynic could fail to be impressed by.

This game is truly deserving of the name Deus Ex. In fact, there's no other name it could have had.

A masterpiece with varying styles of gameplay to satisfy many tastes, allowing brute force or finding more intellectually-challenging solutions.

Great gameplay, cool cyberpunk story, excellent graphics. This edition is the best because you get The Missing Link included, awesome DLC. Got this during the holiday sales, happy as can be.
