A new era of shoot and loot is about to begin. Play as one of four new vault hunters facing off against a massive new world of creatures, psychos and the evil mastermind, Handsome Jack. Make new friends, arm them with a bazillion weapons and fight alongside them in 4 player co-op or split-screen on a relentless quest for revenge and redemption across the undiscovered and unpredictable living planet.

Borderlands 2 follows the story of four new Vault Hunters as they fight to free Pandora from the clutches of Handsome Jack, the brilliant, charismatic, and utterly despicable CEO of the Hyperion Corporation.
Players will fight across the whole of Pandora to stop Jack from awakening an ancient alien evil known only as "the Warrior." Their quest will bring them into contact with some familiar faces from the old game – most notably, the original four Vault Hunters: Roland, Lilith, Brick and Mordecai. They, along with some brand new characters, will help players defeat Jack, destroy the Warrior, and save Pandora.

Features

  • All-New Characters and Classes: Four all new playable classes including the Siren, the Commando, the Gunzerker and the Assassin. Sure, if that’s your thing! Want to try other styles? More tactical perhaps? There are multiple classes to choose from!
  • Play Online with Friends: Share your adventures with friends both online and via LAN through a seamless system enabling you to drop in and drop out of a campaign without ever having to restart the game.

Borderlands 2 - Four Pack review

By Kyroxian posted 10th May

One of the best RPGs this generation, improving upon the original in every way this is the ideal sequel. I loved Borderlands and am quite happy to see how excellent this game turned out. Obviously if you're looking to play with your friends (which you should) the four pack is a good way for you all to save some money while playing together.

It's just like the first Borderlands, but with a few changes and additional stuff here and there. Coop works great, singleplayer is really fun as well. If you liked the first one, you have to buy this. If you hated the first one, you won't like this one.

Borderlands 2 is, in a large part, a retread. In most ways it is more of a giagantic expansion pack than an entirely new game. Whether or not that is a problem for you depends on how much more Borderlands you want. Some things have improved significantly, however. The level design is a bit more diverse and the landscapes take a lot of cues from Halo in terms of "playground" design. The humor, unfortunately, is much worse. It is much more in your face and forced and typically is of the "low hanging" fruit of jokes and jokes about genitalia, breasts, and butts. In general, it's way more "talky" than Borderlands 1, which, because of the forced humor, is a negative more than a positive. Still, it's a prettier version of Borderlands with less monotonous level design. If you have a few buddies to play with, there is a good time to be had.

Borderlands 2 - Four Pack review

I enjoyed the original Borderlands. I played through twice, did some enjoyable co-op, blasted some bad guys, played around with the skills. But I found it rather overrated in the gaming media. It didn't take itself seriously, but it wasn't actually funny. The gunplay was fine - good, even - but not great. And the inventory system. My God. The inventory system...

But Borderlands 2 is a great improvement - really decent shootery, some funny jokes, slighty refined looting, better-differentiated guns, interesting new skill trees, and... well, the same awful, awful inventory system. Damn.

So: highly recommended, especially as a bargainous 4-pack (as it's better with friends)! I even went so far as to buy some of the DLC! And I'm looking forward to a decent inventory system in Borderlands 3...

Who wouldn't want to get four copies for the price of three?!

There are so many improvements over Borderlands that are noticeable right away in the game. The biggest downfall would be it feels a lot more co-op oriented and I wouldn't want to play through solo nearly as much as I did in the original. Otherwise there are tons more weapons, items, skills, talents, anything you would want.

The Shift codes are a nice addition as they keep the community activate and prevent the game from totally dying as well!

Fantastic game. Well worth every penny to play co-op with your friends.

The best melding of FPS and RPG Genres to date.

Fantastic stylized and cell shaded graphics, ultra smooth gameplay and a nice long play life.

I'd also recommend the DLC season pass.

I played over 250 hours on the first Borderlands, mostly multiplayer. I purchased this game primarily for the coop multiplayer. I play regularly with 3 other friends, and have nearly reached the end of the first playthrough. We've all enjoyed it immensely and will probably continue at least through playthrough 2.

The characters feel well-balanced. Unlike the first game, classes do not appear to favor any one type of weapon. Since ammo is still a concern, this gives more comfort to any class to carry different types of weapons as backup, in case you run out of ammo for your current favorite gun.

It's Borderlands but with more of everything. If you like the first one, you'll like this one even more. If you don't like the first one, there's nothing here that could sway you so keep that in mind.

One thing to note that the PC port for this one is streets ahead xD of the first one with full PC settings and better UI and multiplayer component.

borderlands 2 gives u a better expenrience than the original one, such as the minimaps more useful, guns have better models and reload action,i played for 6 hours and dont feel tired, really very comfortable, gearbox thought about everything you may meet,so this is a game boderland and fps fans must play!I give 99/100

Hunting in borderlands 2 is no longer DPS question,it needs ur (and ur friends) to work as a team, recommend you to play with friends rather than single game,or u will waste the good expenience.

So,why not pick up the 4-pack and share ur great happiness with your mates?
