Air Forte review

By lowyhong posted 27th September 2010

Air Forte is decent entertainment for both younger children and older gamers looking for a quick study/lunch break distraction. It's not particularly hard, even for young children, but it is fun in multiplayer.

The game is split into 3 main themes: Math, English and Geography. They are, however, quite limited in their offerings. Geography tasks you with finding only countries; English has you searching for adjectives, verbs and nouns; and Math only involves finding multiples of 1-12. My biggest (and only) gripe with the game is that the themes just aren't varied enough. It'd have been nice to see more complex topics and gameplay variations, for instance, asking you to find the answer to a simple problem sum.

The campaign is almost like an afterthought, with simple intermittent comics to relate the story. It is more like a stretched out tutorial session, but for what this game is worth, it serves the purpose well.

That being said, to repeat my earlier statement, multiplayer is fun, especially if you have kids or younger siblings. I'd pay $5 for it, but no more than that.
