Overall a disappointing purchase, even for $5. The control mechanics are broken, the difficulty swings wildly from easy to insane, the pathing AI is absolutely laughable. Or rather it's cryable, as it largely ruins the game. Perhaps they've taken the idea of brainless undead too literally while programming it. In addition, the character building aspects I was looking forward to are uninteresting.

Interesting Zombie game that you play as THEM, which means your goal is to destroy bunkers where survivors fortified. To do that, you need to slay wandering survivors and turn them into zombies, then lead them into bunkers and watch things burn. The concept is great, but control is a little ankward, and real maps have pathing problems sometimes. also, there are too few things explained ingame, like The Last Guy(don't let them enter the bunker!) or Satelite Laser thingy that is fired when you gather too much zombies(or something?). A good twist on zombie games that I can recommend.

This is a fun little arcade game with a top down view. You are some kind of super zombie, and the goal in most levels is to eliminate the survivor bunkers they're holed up in before they get evacuated.

You initially start alone, but each time you kill a survivor they will rise shortly afterwards as a zombie pet. The main goal in most missions is to slaughter the inhabitants of "bunkers" - places groups of survivors have holed up to await rescue - before they get evacuated. To do this you need to order your zombie minions to attack, which expends a minion each time they enter the bunker. More survivors will enter the map from time to time and head to a bunker, if they succeed in reaching safety they increase the number of people in the bunker you need to eliminate, however catching them en route provides your main source of fresh zombies for your army.

There are some bonus aura's you can access via gaining points from killing survivors, however these bonuses come at the expense of draining the score multiplier. You also earn "zombilution" points which allow you to increase the life of your zombie horde, the number of zombies you can control or your own armour.

The game is fun to play, the sound effects and pre-mission briefings suitably atmospheric. However, some minor niggles prevent me awarding more than three stars. The highly detail top down maps are indeed nice, but the overhead perspective is so far back it's hard to tell what is going on at times. Similarly, trees and other overhead cover can obscure your view of what is happening on the ground. Pathfinding for your pets is also an issue, with zombies (or survivors for that matter) getting themselves stuck behind parked cars or in cul-de-sacs.

If you can ignore these little troubles you have a fun, old-school arcade style game which you can happily dip in and out of as you see fit. The maps can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour to complete, and there's enough provided in the campaign to keep you going for some time.

I actually discovered this little gem while browsing the strategy games here at Gamers Gate. The game looks very similar to the PS3 indi title called The Last Guy which I absolutely love. I figured that 4.95 was a good deal and decided to give it a shot.

Controls - 3

The controls are not very friendly nor can you customize them. I often find myself having to pause and see which keys does what and even when I find out, I still don't see any changes. There is an attack button with the LMB for the hero unit and E sends the zombies after the humans in the streets. I have yet to figure out how to destroy these bunkers. The level up system was nice but still not enough not make the zombies any more useful.

Story - 8

This is a Prototype/Possession style game where you play the monster but h
