This spritepack adds updated uniforms for the interwar period between WW1 and WW2. From 1919 and forward, 12 countries are able to receive new unique historically correct uniforms.
Includes Infantry Uniforms for: Austrian, British, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and US armies.
A perfect dlc: does not give you any advantage in gameplay, but enhances the experiene by providing you better graphics. Not forced-to-buy and it is absolutely up to you to buy it. Great :)
This is a nice graphic feature for the Interwar Period. I'd like to see other sprite packs like this for earlier periods and more countries, as they add a lot of immersion.
I'm not a huge fan of buying sprite packs, but I ended up getting this with the collection. Like most sprite packs this doesn't alter gameplay, but it does make the game better to look at. Not sure I would pay $2 for it, maybe wait for it to go on sale.
The interwar spritepack adds something to the game. The interwar period is probably the most important change of time for a hearts of iron fan, as it marks the transition into that game. These sprites help that transition and is definitely worth getting if you love this game.
This sprite pack brings more detail to a game that has enormous detail already added. I always enjoy paradox interactive efforts they put forth in their products.
Also the price was reasonable for the sprite pack.
Once again a beautifully designed sprite pack from Paradox. It doesn't change gameplay in any way since it's purely a cosmetic change, but it certainly helps immersion a lot!
My favorite sprite pack for Victoria 2 so far. Adds more realistic uniforms to major countries. Sprites are beautifully designed.
Great models. Realistic planes of that Interwar era, adding extra flavour for even more interesting game. Grab it and fly up, up and away!
This packs adds some updated uniforms, while it's nice eye candy, I would only recommend it for people who play the game often and reach the last few decades. Otherwise I think the price is a bit high for a very minor graphics change.
If you play the game a lot or if you can get the pack at a discount then I would say go for it, otherwise the game can do without this pack.
great pack it does add a bit of flare to the game as well as some much needed eye candy. this is a must have for any of the hard core paradox fans out there!
This sprite pack is a very nice addition for any player whose V2 games actually reach the last few decades of the time period.
I do have one thing to criticize though. I think it is not a very good idea that the German uniform in this pack is apparently modeled after the (Nazi-)Wehrmacht uniform. A design based on a late Imperial uniform or an earlier Reichswehr uniform would have been much better IMO.
This sprite pack, although perhaps not for the casual fan of Victoria 2, provides a small - but appreciable - amount of depth to this already wonderful game.
The German uniforms look quite nice. They all have their different weapons and things. Nice flavor to the late game so that everyone isn't wearing clothes that look like they're from the Civil War. That actually is quite a big change to the late-game atmosphere. Kept annoying me that the US was still wearing Union blue caps and vests in 1930.. But this pack changes that. Would say it should have been included with Victoria 2 instead of as a DLC.
Saw that at least the French hold their guns very oddly while fighting. Like they sort of hold them over their heads and do a poking motion.
The spirites are nice, but the animation and the postures are quite different from the stock spirits, and it looks strange during the transition. It would be better if we had custom spirits for all the tech levels.
These goodlooking sprites spieced up my late Vicky2 campaigns. I can highly recommend it to anyone, who likes uniforms.
I recommend these sprite packs for those who like the flavour they bring to the late-game period. They are nice and detailed, and activate after you research and discover "Modern Divisional Structure" in the game. So that's pretty late and many don't play so far into the game, but the diversity they add to the map overview during this period is well worth it. I can't wait until a WW1 sprite pack is released :)
Excellent sprites! They defnitely help set the mood for the interwar period... if you like to play in the late game then this is a no brainer.
It might not add anything to the gameplay per se, but the graphics are nicely detailed and add flavor to the late game. A boost to the game's atmosphere and a nice little reward to keep playing into the 1920s and beyond.
