Traffic Giant follows on from "Industry Giant". The player manages the public transport system running between various towns. His job is to establish and maintain routes of transportation. Two gaming styles offer completely different gameplay: The first is to play the successful entrepreneur, whose main objective is to achieve maximum profits. The other is to play the role of the government official in charge of public transport, whose main concern is the well-being of his citizens and, obviously, the citizens' votes in the next election. A number of special events add to the atmosphere of the game and keep it interesting: Try coping with the traffic generated by the World Cup Final!

Traffic Giant review
Although not very intuitive (this game was from a time when you had to RTFM thoroughly to know how to play it) this is a solid enough game of plotting urban transit. You'll get a kick out of it if you've played a lot of Transport Tycoon Deluxe, but be advised this game does not like running on nVidia graphics systems.
Traffic Giant review
A fine game in the vein of Transport Tycoon and Locomotion. Fans of either transportation city-building games should have a great time with this title.
The game is well worth the price, despite a few interface annoyances. At least on my systems, mouse control tends to be very 'slippery', massively shifting your view of the city when a slight adjustment was called for. The game could also do with a (more) thorough tutorial, though for those who play this sort of simulation, discovering how things are connected is half the fun. It's pretty clear the game was translated from another language (German?). While there are no glaring mistakes in English, the way the game phrases things is a little 'off'.
Traffic Giant is very well coded. Despite a few marathon play-throughs, I haven't run into any bugs or crashes, despite playing the game on operating systems it was never designed for (Windows Vista, Windows 7).
All in all, a solid netbook-friendly strategy/management game to while away the hours.
