Titan Quest is a *good* Diablo clone, with pretty decent graphics and some interesting innovations. Whilst the map in Story mode is always the same, there are lots of class combinations and oodles of skills, all wrapped in various mythological-cultural ancient settings, which makes for a pleasing way to pass the time. It even has cooperative multi-player capacity and the ability to generate your own maps for a "quick" game.

Immortal Throne offers some really good high-level content for Titan Quest fans features an original storyline with more than 8 hours of gameplay on single player campaign.

Immortal Throne also adds dozens of terrifying new monsters, hundreds of unique weapons and an additional 10 levels of character and skill development.

Gameplay and the story makes this game a classic rpg. This game only slightly ages, with a great mechanics and decent graphics. You can squeeze 16xAF and AA because the game is quite old and yet it delivers what you need - Good graphics.

There are a lot of classes and skill tree is rich with nice spells that makes game even better.

If you are die hard fan of rpg, try to buy this game and without much walkthroughts and reading just play this game without dying. If you can beat the game in normal without dying, you will say this game is worth 10/10 !

Titan Quest: Immortal Throne is the outstanding expansion to the original Titan Quest game. It adds 12+ hours per difficulty level, a new skill tree to master to create 8 new player types. The game raises the level cap by 10, why it can't go to 11, and adds the standard new items, spells, ect. My final thought is that if you have Titan Quest you need to buy this game.

I love the premise. Diablo set against a Greek mythology background! Yeah! Replay value is alright with the various specialties you can get for your character.

Unfortunately, it runs terribly, and even decent machines end up getting poor framerates in certain areas.

Want to customize the appearance of your character? Too bad. In ancient Greece, all men look the same and all women look the same. But hey, that makes for an even playing ground in dating at least, right?

The expansion fixes a lot of issues that made the first one somewhat unplayable such as inventory and sorting. So this is almost a must get, however if you don't have the first game already it is better to get the gold pack especially when it is on a deal.

This dlc ramps up the difficulty and has some graphic issues, notably on the final level where even a high end rig can experience lag due to duplicated animations, so it is very highly recommended to get the community fanpatch.

Hades needs some company

And in this expansion to Titan Quest, you can give him just that!

Brave the depths of the underworld and slay the undead in hordes! Go, hero, your titanic quest is not over yet.

An awesome game in the theme of Diablo. Just got into the first part and already can't stop coming back. If you love Greek Mythos and RPG's, then this is definitely a game you'd want to pick up!

This is an amazing classic that is worth a try if you haven't played it before. I was a bit scared of issues with Windows 7 64 Bit , I am pleased to report that I downloaded and installed the game with no issues .

A complete new chapter for TQ game. The setting is very distintive comparing to any of the setting in previous game. The new skills are interesting. The gameplay is still satisfying. Overall, it doesn't change any of the formula, but adds a lot of new content to make playing busy for another long long period.

This expansion adds vital improvements to the already good Titan Quest. If you are done with the considerable amount of content, the Underlord and Lilith mods will provide more hack and slash fun.

I remember how sad I was when I finished Titan Quest, cause even though it has a mega replay value, I just wanted MORE *place a greedy smile here* but the gods from Olympus had mercy and deliver this expansion which enhances EVERYTHING. Just when you thought you had it all on Titan Quest (stand alone), they gave us more of everything on the expansion. So what are you waiting for wasting time reading this??? Go and get it now!!! :D

In my opinion, still the best Diablo clone to date. There's a heap of mods avaible for it and the graphics still hold up nicely. Item variety is massive, dual spec classes for different combinations, combat has a good feel to it, but it could've been better. The price at this point is definately right though, and if you're in to the genre it will be money well spent.

A great followup to Titan Quest, starting in Rhodes and eventually taking you all the way to Hades to stop well, Hades himself as he schemes to take advantage of what has been going in the world above. Note that you can't jump straight into this expansion it requires a character that has beaten Titan Quest. This expansion adds some neat new relics and an artifact slot on your character which adds powerful bonuses. Highly recommended if you're going to even play just Titan Quest get Gold.

Exactly what an expansion should be. It takes a great game and makes it even better still, in every way that matters. It blends in seamlessly with the core game and gives you more spells, more weapons, more monsters to kill and more places to kill them in.

The only thing close to a complaint is that it does seem to sacrifice some of the mythological/historical ambience of the core game in favour of something more dramatic. If that's a bad thing...

Better, bigger and uncut... if you know what I mean. Massive addition to masterpiece hack'n'slash game, seamlessy bounding with Titan Quest. Feel even more gear, spells and skills to pulverize some out-worldly beasts!

More of the same, but that's not bad thing. This is a direct continuation. Player gets dumped into the underworld to fight Hades; Tell me that's not awesome.

This improves the original game, and the original is already great. A must have for everyone who has Titan Quest

This game is very reminiscent of the Diablo style of gaming. The quests are fun, the classes are interesting, and the coolest effect is the knockback. Flinging enemies across the screen when you kill them with your epic strength really is a fun experience no matter how many times it happens. The settings is great, mainly because I like mythology. Some of the characters are recognizable, and the storyline is moving. The graphics and sound are decent. I do like the artificers and enchanters, brings a different feel to the game. Overall, it's not anything really groundbreaking, but it is fun while it lasted.

Really it’s very shame when I saw 5 stars for this game, this kind of games insulting our IQ, what it means to keep moving and killing everything, and u get stronger everything get same level as u, really even 1 star rating is still shame, but I need the points of rating, so my suggestion is pleaaaaaaaaaaaase don’t even think to buy it even for free.

Having Titan Quest: Immortal Throne is really adviseable if you already have the original game. This expansion introduces a new campaign in the Hades, probably better than the other locations.

There are new weapons and objects and there is also a brand new concept: artifacts, permanent magical spells obtainable after finding the necessary formulae.

Titan Quest Immortal Throne review

Immortal Throne is a wonderful expansion to an already excellent game. It adds a new character class (or classes, since you can combine two), a new region with new enemies, and 8-12 hours of additional questing. As always, the draw is in the loot, and IT does not disappoint: new artifacts to assemble add depth to the TQ endgame, and the new weapon/armor classes give the player more stuff to loot. The game still looks excellent, and the difficulty is well-paced. All in all, a must-have game.

Titan Quest Immortal Throne review

By bmoens posted 17th August 2010

a good addition to an already good game; it feels much darker, especially after entering the abyss, then the original;

the addition of a new class opens up a lot of new class combinations, which are usable even from the start of TQ! I found it more difficult then the original, with some really hard hitting bosses like Charon, cerberus...but no problem with that;

overall, more of the same, new classes, new regions and monsters and the same loot fever; what do you want more from an expansion?

Titan Quest Immortal Throne review

By Kaltic posted 29th June 2010

Great expansion for a great game. This expansion adds more to everything, be it story length, locations, items, and classes.

A great thing about the expansion it that is ties directly into the original Titan Quest meaning that everything added by the expansion is available prior to reaching the new expansion location (such as the new classes). The way this works is just like Diablo 2.

This expansion doesn't radically change anything with the game so it is still a pure hack n slash with good visuals/effects and sometimes funny physics.

If you loved Diablo 2, but felt that it was to hectic then this game is perfect because of its slightly slower pace.

unlike diablo, this game is like an ever-reaady battery: it keeps going and going. Just when you think that it cant get better or might end soon it will pleasently suprise you. Yes its a hack n slash similar to diablo 2 but with a lot of kicks. All the extra spells and abilities are neat and if you get tired of playing one character you can quickly load another one. Playing this game on LAN with a friend or two(if you have the spare pc's ) is a blast and you wont get an annoying pop up that tells you that the cd key is already in use. Well worth the money for what you get. Highly recomended and works smoothly on windows 7 after you have installed DX 9c

Titan Quest Immortal Throne review

By Dottore_46 posted 16th April 2010

The game is quite good. Graphics, although a bit aged, are still good enough to satisfy players. Regarding music, although it is not brilliant, it maintains the level Titan Quest already showed.

Gameplay is even better than in Titan Quest. The addition of artifacts is a great idea and will make players spend some time until they find the required elements. Also IA of enemies seems to be a bit better as they react faster and more effeciently to the strategies of the players.

However, the game has a big drawback. It is only an expansion, whose level of innovation it quite poor compared to other expansions, like chaos rising or dark crusade, also from the same distributor. It would appeal to the most diehard fans of Titan Quest, however, people who wants to play it after having finished a normal campaign of Titan Quest, will not really enjoy the lack of innovation of the expansion.

Final socre: 7,5

I have played this game for quite a long time, it's very addictive.

It is true, in it's normal version the game is quite easy, no monsters are truly a challenge, especially with the right equipment, but there is hope !

There is a mod called "Monsters X" for Titan Quest which multiplies the number of monsters on each spawn point by 2, 3, 4 or 10 times ( not in all cases ). The pace becomes frenetic, you get way more skeletons than in Diablo 2, you get surrounded by all sides rapidly and die a lot. But it is soooooo fun ! It's not cheating, actually it makes the game harder, not easier, but it does increase the loot quantity by quite a lot (more chances to get those special items you always wanted)

I recommend the game to anyone who wants a true hack&slash experience like few games out there captured it, and that mod... makes it the TITAN game it should have been from the start!

This is a great Action RPG. Lots of action, many different skills to choose, lots of great loot, and great graphics (to an extent, still unmatched, as far as Action RPGs go). I loved the game, overall. I only have two (minor) gripes:

1) the areas/dungeons are not randomized. The terrain will always be the same, no matter how many times you play; shrines may be located in different spots, and the enemies in the area may be different between plays, but the terrain is always the same. Some people will find it a plus, but for me, it hurts the exploration aspect.

2) it has a long main campaign. On one side, that's great - you get lots of content for a small price, and it's a great game, fun all the way. But if you want to try different builds and classes in the higher difficulties, you'll play through the same areas multiple times, and take a lot of time doing so - it's still fun, but if you for some reason lack the time, you might not see all that is to see.

Still, as I said, those are minor gripes. This is one of the best action RPG games around, and it's a lot of bang for the buck. If you like the genre, you need this game in your collection.

Very nice diablo clone, if you like diablo, you will like this game. The music is not as good as in the diablo games, but the graphics are certainly better.

The game seems a bit too easy for my taste, level progression is fast and monsters not really a challenge. But it does get better as I get further in game.

Titan Quest Immortal Throne review

By Kippling posted 14th June 2009

I agree with the sentiment expressed by the other reviewers here, this game is a pure 'Diablo' style hack'n'slash. I too bought the gold edition and I'm glad I did. The expansion adds an extra chapter to the story (about 60% the length of the entire original game), and is good value for money.

Overall the game is very well executed. The artwork is attractive and has aged very well, the artists have really captured the feel of ancient Greece, Egypt and the East. Very easy on the eyes. The music is pleasing, setting the tone for each chapter. The voice acting ranges from good to not-so-good, but this isn't a huge problem and the bad sections are infrequent.

The game's addictiveness comes from the use of random loot tables and a high degree of character customisation. There are plenty of options for a character build and the huge amount of equipment means you can spend a very long time tweaking, if this is your thing. Despite the developers having gone bust a while ago, there is still some community activity. There is a community made 'patch' floating about which corrects some small issues and is worth tracking down. The game has aged enough to be very stable and well balanced. If you're looking for a hack'n'slash adventure, at the moment this is the best available.

I purchased the gold edition (which includes the original and the expansion).

After an initial 4.5 gig download (which took an extremely long time) I was still only able to get the game to work on 2 out of the 3 computers here. It is still unknown why it will not run on the third.

The game itself is beautiful. It is a hack and slash at it's roots, but the creators knew what they were doing.

Graphically gorgeous. The spell effects, while not state of the art to today's standards, are still pleasing to the eye. The storyline will easily reel you in as well.

Although not as frantic paced as it's counterpart (Diablo 2) this game makes up for in great climatic moments. The dual class system allow an endless number of character classes.

This is a must have for any hack and slash fan. If you are not a fan of hack and slash, so not expect anything from this you have not seen before.
