The One DLC To Rule Them All

By Jediloop posted 21st March

I'n my opinion this is the quintessential DLC for Saint's Row The Third, as it contains all three mission pack (GenkiBowl, Trouble With Clones and Gangstas in Space). All other DLC are just cosmetic/weapon/car/homies upgrades. All three missions in the Season Pass are not very long (I've completed all of them in about 6h), but they are full on crazy, over-the-top fun. Always wanted to roll in a giant ball of yarn, crushing cars and bystanders? Or maybe you wanted to jump from an airplane dressed as a panda, only to land on roofs to massacre people dressed as hot dogs? You can do all this, and more, with this DLC.

At 66% I took a chance, not usually big on DLC, but this was definitely worth it. Several funny new missions to complete. I play with a buddy, and we laughed our heads off through the new missions. Definitely added some life to a game that had started to get played less and less. There are new clothes and vehicles to unlock which is cool, but wouldn't have bothered if not for the missions. Especially the Gangstas in Space missions, hilarious. Looking forward to Saints Row 4, happy to get a little more to do in this world until then.

Adds a decent amount of bonus content to the game world, albeit irrelevant to the overall plot. Some of it is decent, and some of it is kinda bad. I guess it depends on how you feel about the base games missions. There's the new Genki minigames, which aren't too bad, but you probably wouldn't miss them. And two mini mission packs, which have their moments, but also introduce things that aren't integrated into the main game, which seem like a complete waste. Overall, if you haven't gotten tired of the game by the time you've finished it, this would be the next thing to grab. But I'd advise waiting for a discount. There really isn't 20 bucks worth on content in this pass.

This was a cool DLC. The bike is awesome both aesthetically an power/handling wise. The nightblade skin only is for female characters however. But you get all of the main story DLC as well. Which to me was worth it. Volition did a great job of making the story based DLC in line with the same tone, feel and polish of the main game. Completely worth the money.

The Season Pass is a set of 3 sidestories of varying quality. The Genkibowl part is simply an extension of what was present in the main game expanding the gameshow with 3 new activities. While fun, they are pretty forgettable.

Gangsters in Space adds more of a story. You play the lead role in a movie with an insane director that has you fighting aliens on their spaceships and flying smaller spaceships, engaging in air combat. Overall a fun but short little sidequest. The final part, The Trouble with Clones is pretty much the highlight of the sets of dlc. While also short, the story is funny and has you doing insane stuff while tracking a bulking mindless clone of Johnny Gat.

The 3 sets of DLC are short but fun and if you're clamoring for more Saint's Row 3 content, it is definitely worth a look.

Well worth the money, this pack adds 3 sets of missions to the game. It's nice that you can jump in and out of them while playing the regular game. They add a whole extra level of madness to the already crazy Steelport environment.

There's a lot of DLC packs (and Pack bundles) for SR3 and some are to be avoided depending on how you want to play the game. The Bloodsucker pack replaced the neck snap with a neck bite. It also unlocks weapon, cash and respect bonuses that some (like me) would prefer to earn by playing the game. There's also another pack that adds cheats (I think it's the Invincible Pack). These will disable autosave and Steam Achievements for the character in use. The only way to undo this is to create a new character.

Once you activate a DLC pack it's there for good and can't be deactivated, so be careful!

Ok. This is good bargain! You'll get 4 DLC with decent price. Tons of new stuff (new outfists, cars...). Gangstas in space is about movie creation where you Saints Row celebrity play main character! Of course it will not be ordinary movie and no ordinary things will happen during mission! Another DLC - Trouble with Clones! "Incredible Hulk" themed DLC with superhero powers and comic story (best of all three) and Genki Bowl, series of mission where you'll get giant blob as vehicle with crushing power as the tank! Alright that's not crazy, that's totally insane and could be yours if you buy that DLC! Last one is Nyte Blade bonus - car and bike (really cool models) and outfits from Steelport TV series. So if you don't own any DLC from Saints Row The Third this is good start and worth of your money, don't buy DLC separately or you'll be charged twice!

If you are to choose 1 DLC/pack to buy for SR3, this DLC will be the only DLC you will ever need.

All new mission packs to fool around alone or with your friend. Interesting new events with the missions and makes the game more enjoyable all in all.

Each of the three dlc packs is about two hours in length. The first pack is entirely distractions with two new ones available. The other two feature more original content but the short length hardly warrants the asking price.

A sale is the way to go on this pack.

This gives you all the extra missions to game. It adds around 2 to 4 hours of mission gameplay to the Saints row, depending how fast and through out you are. I would recommend this for everyone who loves Saints Row 3, it adds some nice missions and fun times for the game. Not to forget all the extra stuff you get from those missions after completing them!

If there's one DLC for Saints Row 3 you should get, this is it. You get a couple new vehicles and outfits from the Nyte Blayde pack, and all three mission packs which add a a couple extra hours of gameplay, along with some new homies/vehicles/etc. to play with, and of course, it's cheaper than buying the DLCs individually. A good purchase for those who want to get a bit more out of SR3.

Saints Row: The Third Season Pass, good value, but was hoping for more

By Athan_Immortal posted 28th May 2012

My feelings about this DLC are mixed.

For a start, if you are going to buy the DC for Saints Row the Third, the Season Pass is a great way to do it, basically giving you access to it all for a reduced cost.

I picked it up from Gamersgate on sale, so my score largely reflects the great price from Gamersgate.

The DLC itself I was a little disappointed in. A lot of the items are cosmetic, which is fine, but I was really buying it for the storyline expansions: Genkibowl VII, Gangstas in Space and The Trouble with Clones.

Gangstas in space didn't really involve any of the main characters from the main plot, it introduced a new character who was an actress, whos story is told over 3 or 4 missions. It did also add a rather cool and fun spaceship to use in game (as if the game wasn't crazy already). It was fun, but I wouldn't replay it.

Genkibow VII was just three or so extra gauntlets for you to run in the Genkie tournaments, which was a shame. They added some extra voice overs from the commentators, but it was all over too fast. I was disapointed becuase the Genkibowl games are some of the best fun in the game.

The Trouble with Clones. This was the one I was most disapointed in. It was supposed to add a little about a character that I really cared about, Johnny Gat. I was surprised they killed him off at the beginning of SR3, I kept waiting for him to come back, or have survived somehow. So when I heard that this DLC had someone attempting to clone Johnny, I really wanted to play it. It adds a couple of mechanics, and about 3 missions. I was gutted. It was over far too quickly, and had I paid full price for the DLC on its own, I would have felt pretty cheated.

That said, it's hard to argue with the value of the DLC pass, and if you play in co-op, it's nice to have the extra costumes. Worth it if you enjoyed the game, just don't expect any huge additional narrative added to the game.

Parents: this game is not appropriate for children.

This game is, however, appropriate for adults who enjoy: mindless violence, extensive customization, large free-roam environments, well done co-op gameplay, homie revives and terrible voice acting (except Hulk Hogan). More fun with a friend, but the single player is certainly playable as well.

Many game-developers today have the annoying habit of splitting their games into little pieces, which are hardly worth buying. I finished GIS and TTWC in 2 hours total. Even discounted, not worth paying for unless you're a completist.

Contents DLC pack features Genki Bowl VII (Adds an additional sidequest missions as well as Genki arena), Gansta in Space, and Trouble with Clones. Each DLC will give you an additional 2-3 hours to complete everything in addition to a Nyteblade costume/vehicle DLC. Great deal for all the contents DLC in one package.

This is a total DLC package of Saints Row: The Third and it is really awesome. It adds 6-8 hours gametime to the base game and all missions in the DLCs is really fun. You should get this package if you have Saints Row The Third and want more of it.

If you enjoyed the third saints through out there domination of Steel Port grab the season pass and expand you're game with extra fashion and a kickass bike from Nyte Blade. Want more? You get Genkibowl a series of wacky challenges from the genius man-cat professor Genki. New sets of mission in Gangsters in Space and Trouble with Clones that add extra hours of fun gameplay.

If you are a fan why don't you own it already?! :)

Expand your game time in the craziest game ever, with the craziest DLC ever!

Featuring a whole bunch of new activities from Professor Genki's activities to alien invasions, and a clone of Johnny Gat!

Drive and fly in new vehicles around the city, and even get super powers.

By not getting this, you're missing a hell of a lot of fun. Recommended for everyone who likes the game.

Saints Row: The Third Season Pass review

By ViolentMercenary posted 24th March 2012

Loved the game but the DLC... not so much. The first problem is length. None of the mission packs will last you longer than an hour. This wouldn't be as bad if they didn't make all the missions ridiculously far away from each other, arbitrarily adding more 'gameplay'. The Genki bowl mission pack isn't a mission pack at all, it just adds more side missions. There are good parts (like Saint's flow and the Giant Yarn ball) but they aren't worth the extra expense.

Saints Row: The Third Season Pass review

By snake4851 posted 24th March 2012

Great Deal for getting 3 DLC packs. Each one has a bunch of new items for use as well as homies to call. It is not as much content as a true expansion should have but it never claims to be more than a pack of DLC so I think it is a decent amount of content for a decent price. For sure worth it if you nab it on sale.

What better way to save money than with the season pass..

Buying this adds all three DLC packs plus for a few dollars less than if you buy them seperately.

Great idea.

Picked up the season pass when it was 50% off and I have to say, I'm enjoying the new content more than I expected! Only played through Genkibowl so far but the new events are an absolute blast, especially in co-op.

You like Saints Row: The Third?

As with the main game this is utter insanity wrapped in a ballistic condom filled with custard. Brilliant; if you like the 3D GTA games you'll almost certainly like this too. Co-op works very sensibly and seemingly without issue (a rarity). Nevermind "does it fit?" the question "is is it fun?".

Saints Row: The Third Season Pass review

By GGMarky posted 22nd March 2012

This little pass entitles you to the most delicious chunks of select DLC. The trilogy of DLC that adds the most new content is all paid for under this neat little season pass. Genki Bowl, Gangsters in Space and The Trouble with Clones are the three elements in question. Genki Bowl takes everyone's favourite Japanese gameshow hosting cat and gets him mixed up in some all new challenge madness. Gangsters in Space is the B-Movie occasionally referred to during the plot and on billboards and posters, which stars some of the celebrity Saints. There will be lasers and hot alien booty. The final part of this DLC trilogy is the recently released The Trouble With Clones, in which you accidentally badly clone a fallen Saint to try to bring him back, and wind up creating some barking hulk who goes on to ruin everyone's shit. Thankfully, a nice swig of the Saints licensed energy drink will turn you into a real barking hulk killer, and give you the edge to bring him down.

I'm giving this four stars, because while the actual content is a fine expansion to the game, there is a lot of content in other DLC that is not. There's a pack that lets you unlock cheats, and you have to pay for that? How can anyone justify that? Further more, there are other DLC elements that seem to give you a pointless amount of additional guff that ends up giving you more money and gimmicky weapons than you can sensibly use right off the bat when you start the game. Who wants a game with all of the challenge removed?

This DLC add's allot of wackyness to this already wacky game. The extra game types are basically mini games and there is no story line but that does not stop the fun. You can destroy an entire area as a ball of yarn or shoot mascots all day. Highly reccomended.
