Saints Row the Third - Bloodsucker DLC Pack review

By Zystus posted 16th March

This dlc is a really small addition to The game allowing to kill your enemies while using them shield by sucking out their blood. This allows you to regain some health, which helps in the game. Over this dlc is good if you like more of an melee person rather than a shoot them up kind of person.

I'm reviewing this at a 3 because it's a tradeoff. The good news is the DLC is pretty cheap, and personally? I though draining health from my human shields was pretty cool. The bad news is this DLC doesn't add much aside form that, and more importantly, having almost every enemy in game double as a walking health pack does screw up the game's difficulty somewhat. Overall, it can be fun, but you're not missing much if you skip this.

Doesn't add that much, but it's still nice, to feel like vampires, it has a low price, and if you're like to play a lot SR3 this is a nice DLC because of the new skill.

Really cool feature of sucking blood from your human shield makes this tiny DLC incredibly useful. Especially in large skirmishes with tons of enforcers and gangs. Maybe it come as huge advantage but on the other way you don't die too often = more fun. And dying is not fun especially when Saints Rows: The Third main recipe is to do as many insane things at once as possible.

This DLC is not a must have. The Bloodsucker Pack grants respect and money bonuses. It also grants the ability to drain hostages for health. By the end of the game, respect and money are plentiful, and health is nearly a non issue, since character upgrades grant near invincibility.

However, those looking to replay Saints Row the Third quickly, in order to collect achievements, will benefit from this DLC.

Out of all the DLC for this game I would have to say i was the most reluctant about getting this one. I am so glad I didnt listen to my gut feeling on this one though. This pack by far I feel adds the most to the game of all the small dlc packs. Regaining health through human shields alone makes this worth shelling out the extra dollars for.

The bonuses this pack gives are too much. But it's kinda cool that you can suck from your human shield to heal you...

Wouldn't recommend to people still playing the story though.

First off, I need to say that I like the DLCs for SR:TT so far. Well, apart from the cheat one but that's personal preference.

But...

This one adds so little to the game it isn't even worth the £1.49 tag. Essentially, you get an animation of your character nomming someone's neck, along with a really bad growly roar. It gives you some health when you do it. But it replaces the neck-snap move - permanently - or at least until THQ decide to fix that. That it does this shonky, annoying move is the only way I can tell I've spent £1.49.

£1.49... I can get a bottle of ale for that! I wish I had. It would have been far more refreshing and would probably have more replay value.

Oh, it also increases money and respect, but then, that was never an issue.

Come on THQ. Do better.
