Supreme Ruler 2020 is a surprisingly good and realistic games. It has a well studied game world with GDP/c, population figures, real world units like eg. T-55, F/A-18 Hornet, Mig-21, DDG-1000 Zumwalt etc.. And is is also highly/easily moddable. It does not use provinces like in eg. any paradox game, but instead use "Hexes", which are small hexes that make up the basic world and countries. All in all it is a very good game, with the latest patch, also not that much bugs.

It isn't a game for everyone, and it does have a fair few problems, but if you really get into it, SR2020 can be a simple brilliant game.

It has a level of depth rarely seen in games, fast paced action (At times) and a complex economic system.

The game is worth a try, because it's not something you'd want to miss out on.

This is definitely an addicting game and offers an in depth realistic view of what running a nation is like. How you can control your nations resource output, how much of it you sell and what you buy adds to the realism. Once problem that I have found is the lack of map detail since it is not 3D but 2D and limits your perspective when moving troops. Also the game play is extremely slow and it takes hours of playing to simply build certain structures. When attacking cities game play is also very slow and the lack of RTS makes it a dragged out experience. The game can be fun when dealing with international politics but overall I do not think that it is that special of a game, I give it a 2 out of 5.

This game is complex to the level of sadistic, and understanding it all take as much effort as learning a new language. However, the pay off is well worth it, the game has so many factors to look out for and so many things to consider. It certainly has a fair amount of flaws, but if you can get into this game it will hold you in.

This game, quite simply, angers me. It promises allot, and almost delivers. It offered something wonderful and eminently chewy, something to really get your teeth into. But they failed, hard. The game is, firstly, hideously convoluted and hides all information under a million sub screens, making it a chore to do the simplest tasks. It fortunately lets you hand over many of the tasks of running your government (including building, diplomacy and controlling your troops) to the very competent AI to auto-manage. The problem here is that you are left with nothing to do other than watch the AI but heads with itself and have a wonderful time doing it. In the mean time you would best spend your time doing something else, at least until they have patched this game to a point where it works.

Any military/strategy buff who doesn't own Supreme Ruler 2020 should download it immediately!! It's a GREAT GAME. But remember...only if you are a real fan of its genre.

The game is fun and nice to play the only downside of the game is that it is really slow in the sense that progress can take days but its really nice game and realistic.

possible improvement could be made in making it easir for player to play online multiplayer as IP address connection is difficult to achieve. Religion should also have more importance in the game and diplomatic should improve by small tweaks.

I like the game and recommend it if u like games where ur the ruler of the country.

This is one of those games you need to spend ages learning to master. I have no doubt it will please some of the deeper strategy-gamers, but I advice anyone to try the demo first. There is an impressive number of technologies and units, but the diplomacy is lacking in the A.I-side. Those expecting a real-life diplomacy will be disappointed.

Worse interface and sluggish unit control, this game has actually degraded from the first game, if this had been a stand alone game I would give it 4 stars but since its actually worse than the first game I give it 3 stars.

this is a good game, its a game for those who combine thier brain to it. it has many great things, but i would like to see more, senate, private economy, more diplomacy options like giving land away or satilite nation, UN options to influnce the game like donation of money to gain influence, and also vote on sactions and other things of that nature. this is war game and a economic game not so much a geo-political war game, i would like it to be both a geo-political war game combined with economics and more political options. but all in all i will rate this game a 4.5, buy the game its great and continu3e to support battlegoat they need all the help they can get!

The most realistic game like it that ive ever played. in my opinion, its a combination of Risk, Command & Conquer, and civilization.

It is a pretty good buy, far superiour to Superpower 2 which it closely resembles. The controls are of course highly complex and the tutorials were not very effective or interesting. It is way to hard to launch nuclear attacks and the game is rather laggy. The graphics are quite pretty for a grand strategy game though. It has a fair number of scenarios and if you save often the crashing to desktop shouldn't be much of a problem.

Very good game, slightly laggy on large world map. Some minor bugs in inital version. Land based AI very good, bugs will be patched in next update. Naval and invasions the AI is very weak so at the moment that will influence youre gameplay, multiplayer could be more of a challange,

The lack of a central mulitplayer server is a downside but multiplayer as is is very smooth and great ive played 2 games.

With some additional patching this game will just be about perfect it does look they have done a lot of good work already the economic side is flawless the diplomatic side of the game is id say 90% complete

giving it 4.8 out of 5
