The final expansion has brought a lot of new goodies and despite the numerous problems (and the increased hardware demands) it's still a great fun to play with, especially in multiplayer.
There are countless bugs still, even at this late stage of development and the attitude of the DEVs doesn't really help improvement. I'd recommend this game only to fans of space era but there's definitely better products elsewhere even in the very same Paradox universe.

Argos Naval Yard is the third, and final, expansion to the Sword of the Stars series. Although it contains significantly less then the previous two expansions, it is still far more complete then many expansions companies release today.
It contains many new weapons, technologies, and ship sections. If you enjoy Sword of the Stars even the slightest bit, Argos Naval Yard will greatly enhance your gaming experience. I highly recommend it to everyone who already has the previous expansions.

Of all the games I have I keep coming back to this one. I thoroughly enjoy this game with my friends as we usually play into the early hours of the morning not realizing as the time flies by.

As with all the expansions in the series I feel the content here needed to be put in the original game to make the replay value higher, but with the low price of the game and its expansions they equal out to be the cost of a standard major developer release. So buy this with all the other expansions together they make the game whole, but beware if you multiplay with people who dont have the expansions as they different versions can not play together.

This mini-expansion is more of what you would expect. There are some new technologies to improve your ship design (weapon and components). My personal favorite new ships are the Propaganda vessels that can improve your colony's morale, or lessen the morale of nearby enemy colonies.
Planet colonization and development are still the same.
For larger games, the interface could still use improvement; when you get 40+ colonies, it would be nice to have a list of what ships each colony is producing on a single list rather than going through planet by planet. Overall, it's a worthy addition to the SotS universe.

It's a nice little expansion. Graphics are beefed up a bit and it has some nice new tech. Not all anti-matter era, no, some of it you get right away! Keep in mind that it upgrades your game to 1.7.1, where you will no longer be able to play with those of 1.6.7 or lower. There isn't a whole lot to say about this; it adds more guns! What more do you want? :D

Even if game is not fault free, A.N.Y. is a must buy for SoS bundle owners. It contains 100% of stuff which should have been part of the original SoS in the first place...

Fantastic expansion. If you own the other three games then this is a must have. It ties every thing up into a nice little bundle. If you thought that the game was fun before, wait till you try it with the new expansion. The improved weapons fire looks impresive.

Without adding any major game altering additions, Argos Naval Yard (ANY) seem to fill tiny gaps of what has been needed in SOTS for a while. Just what's to be expected of a DLC, balanced and useful additions to what already works.

Sword of the Stars Argos Naval Yard brings a slew of new tactical options to the already tumultuous Sword of the Stars universe, and will be a treat to fans both new and old.
ANY also brings with it some upgrades to several of the particle effects - heavy beams have never looked so deliciously dangerous!
Despite the addition of powerful new ship sections and weapons platforms, ANY doesn't feel forced - each of the new systems blend seamlessly into the current gameplay, and each has a definite purpose and utility.
All in all, ANY is a must buy for anyone who owns the rest of the series - a beautiful cap stone for an excellent series!
