Shaman Odyssey: Tropic Adventure(tm) review

By jcdenton303 posted 9th May 2011

Shaman Odyssey: Tribal Adventure is a short, simple RTS game. You play the role of a shaman as he tries to bring up a small island community and protect them from sharks, ghosts and sickness. There is very little to Shaman Odyssey. It's like a simplified Warcraft basically. There's no combat, only town-building, resource harvesting and potion-making. Make potions, cure your villages, banish sharks and ghosts, build a town and harvest a bunch of food n stuff. It's quite fun, with its nice colorful graphics and simple nature. Because of its simplicity however the game becomes limited and level ideas are basically repeated. This would be a good game for kids, otherwise its a fun way to wile away a Sunday afternoon. Any gamer with any experience in real-time strategy can beat the game in 2 hours or so. The game is so concise and so simple and just so small, however, that I would wait for another $5 of the price to drop off before you go forking out that $10.
