As a fan of the classic Sonic games, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with this one. The physics are horrible and feel very floaty, with no sense of momentum and not much speed.

Not a bad game, but it feels quite slow and sluggish, which is mildly annoying since the Sonic games are supposed to be based on his speed. Didn't have much replay value for me and resulted in me buying Sonic Generations too so I could get my speed fix :P

The game is solid, if not a short experience. It unfortunately suffers some fr some wonky detection and design, and comparatively is not as good ad Sonic 1-3, or episode 2. Worth it for Sonic fans, but maybe not much else as it just feels decent.

Great game, but the second one is a lot better. I'd buy this if you were looking to unlock Episode Metal, which is a brand new spin on this game with Metal Sonic.

This game is quite awful in my opinion. The problem I have with this game is mostly 1) The camera is too close to Sonic compared to other sonic games. 2) Fall traps. Nothing new here but they are still annoying. 3) The movement of Sonic is not good at all.

Sonic is back to his roots in this game.

With it's improved graphics and gameplay, this game is a must-have for all the Sonic fans out there.

It's an OK game.

it's similar to the classic sonic games on the Mega Drive (sega genesis). it's not that great, but sure it's fun. pretty short, though. you really should seize the sale, cause it's really worth the 2.78 €.

This game instead of being a news title,is a remake. If you enjoy the first two Sonic the Hedgehog, you must buy and play this, because it's the same game with a new "fight" system based on a dash attack, new puzzles section (like the labyrinht one).

If you manage to stumble upon my review you just saved yourself some cash.

Don't buy this game I regret buying this low quality imitation of past games. Sonic's texture is horrid and the levels are poorly rendered. The trailer is an illusion and I fell for it. The physics are terrible as well. Head to the Sonic CD page and buy that instead. I mean it.

This is a 2d platformer like the older good sonic games. The level design is mostly good and there are some interesting new additions like the targeted dash. The controls are OK as long as you don't stop moving, but you move slowly and awkwardly until you build up speed. The graphics look really bad, the 3d looks really cheap. Over all the game just is not as good as any of the old 2d sonic games. If you have played Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic CD and handful of good handheld sonic games and you want something new this does have some good qualities to enjoy.

This game was highly controversial when it came out and it still is.

While it's true that the classic Sonic physics are nowhere to be found, you can't deny that playing Episode 1 is a blast.

Considering that this is 4.99 right now I'd say that you have to buy it, at least in order to see for yourself if it's as bad as many people have said :)
