Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent review

I really like the first three games of the Splinter Cell series, but this one is just a bit too buggy. It doesn't even support wide screen resolutions! On top of that you can't skip intro videos and it crashes randomly!

Reaches Potential Nearly Completely

I went into this game with no previous exposure to the Splinter Cell series. While the gameplay is great and the juggling of the two sides is well done. The main problem I find in it is the fact that your ability to shift the trust of the two sides is only done through action with no emphasis on the spoken deviation. Had that element been added and refined; this would have been one of the best games of all time. As it is, that point would be giving slightly too much credit. Despite that shortcoming, the game still is notable as great.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent review

After three awesome games with the charismatic but deadly Sam Fisher Ubisoft decided to release Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Did they make a mistake?

Hell no!

Despite some opinions, Double Agent offers the much needed refreshment by putting a lot of burden on your shoulders. Namely, moral dilemma plays an important role and, depending on your play-style, things make take a very unexpected toll. This is the best part about double agent, mostly because it has a great re-playability value.

Also, just like Chaos Theory, co-op and multiplayer have been expanded and improved upon. The same goes for the arsenal of equipment and weaponry as well as the fluid animations of Sam.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent will keep you entertained for many hours and even though it was released back in 2007 the graphics are still amazing.

This is an under appreciated title in the SC series. After rebuying now, it runs perfectly on Win7 64bit, easier to install than my dvd version was, iirc. And with today's faster pc's, this really does look good with all the eye candy turned up. Sure there's glitches if you look for them, but for what it is, a stealth game, it does it fairly well. And with this sale that just ended, you can't beat the price.

I can't believe Calculin only gave it 1 star.

We found one of the best splinter cell: the classical formula of play combined with immense moral decisions, freedom of action and movement, dramatic realism and unbelievable plot.

Graphics: 8 - Impressive textured and huge beautifully designed scenarios but with some bugs.

Sound: 9 - A great soundtrack and sound effects that favors high-level and influences the gameplay.

Gameplay: 9 - Decisions moral, dramatic plot, freedom of action ... There are two ways to overcome the same mission.

Range: 10 - visit many places, defuse bombs with minigames and we will make all kinds of secondary tasks at the base of the terrorists.
