Yet I don't know exactly where to find the strategy element in this game. You choose between 2 campaigns (German or Russian) and then you jump from mission to mission. Enemy units are each level a tad stronger than those available to you and generally the leash is quiet tight. You have time 2 minutes to do this or you have time 4 minutes to do that. You are playing missions again and again until you found the winning path - I repeat, THE winning path. For too many missions don t really leave you a big choice. However, details and animations and maps are truely nice and done with dedication. I know it, I bought it and I didn t get what I had hoped for (NO time limits and/or triggers).

I have a lot of fun with Panzerkrieg. It is very replayble, and decently historicly acurate. I am still learning how to play, yet, have to say the game is good.

What a battle. I mean a real battle. This is not "moving troops from left to right". It is really a strategy game. The graphics are clearly outdated. But as longer I play it as stronger I have the feeling why this wonderful Blitzkrieg1 graphics was replaced by this mid range 3d graphic of Blitzkrieg2 ? There are a lot of very different mission objectives - so you really have to be aible to understand English. The game is great but I really hope that I will play it one day in French.

I really took a chance on buying this game since I hadn't read any of the reviews on it yet. If you have played the orignal Blitzkrieg you will love this game. Panzerkrieg missions are awesome and complex. The controls are easy to learn, and most carry from one unit to the next. Panzerkrieg is a very fun game but it is not a game for you if you don't like strategy games. The realism of the units is amazing and the articifical intelligence is pretty good. There are lots of things to smash so even my armoured train is gaining elite status.
