Paraworld Gold review

By turge posted 26th Jul 2011

I bought this game physically years ago, but when I found it here at gamersgate, I decided it was worth paying for a digital copy as well.

I'm a dino nerd at heart, so that was the main attraction for me at first, as well as the fact that this is a RTS game. But when as soon as I started the game I found out that this is a little different than other games of the same genre. The biggest difference is the army controller, which is an ingame system for keeping track of the units. The units are arranged according to rank, and it's just very easy to understand.

The graphics are great and the sound effects are good as well, although the voice work in the cutscenes are hard to take seriously at times. Still the gameplay is fun, and I've had many good hours in this company. For such a low price I have no problem recommending this game to others!

This may not have the strategic depth of starcraft or the command and conquer games, but it sure is fun. The art style is awesome and the units are some of the most unique in a rts. While it might not be a classic that will last for years, it will make for a fun weekend and well worth te 10 bucks.

Paraworld Gold review

Paraworld goes back to the roots and features classic RTS gameplay with some original ideas. There is a very good campaign that puts you right into the game, instead of playing hours of tutorials you only have to play one short tutorial mission and then real missions start, that is very motivating! There is also skirmish mode which can be played with computer AI or in multiplayer.

The game is well balanced and i was also surprised how polished it is. Graphics are great, sound is just right, controls work fine! Despite a few minor AI faults there is nothing wrong with this games.

Paraworld is probably the best modern RTS with classic gameplay until Starcraft 2 comes out. Highly recommended!

Paraworld is a nice RTS game set in a world where dinosaurs and man interract. The game isn't perfect, but is really nice and fun to play. It originally came out in 2006, but the graphics are still good today.

The gold version is the one to get. It came out later, and it includes much more than the original version. New scenarios, bug fixes, etc.

You'll have fun with this game.
