GAME SUMMARY

Primal Carnage

Rating: 4.3 (107 votes cast)

Primal Carnage has just received a new, free update called “Get to the Chopper,” aptly named after the new objective based game mode. In the “Get to the Chopper” game mode, human players must rush against the clock (and dinosaurs!) to take a series of objectives before they are able to be extracted by a helicopter.

The “Get to the Chopper” update adds four new maps and introduces a new playable dinosaur class called the Spinosaurus, both of which are specific to the new game mode. The Spinosaurus is a more powerful tank class designed to better defend against the humans in dire situations.

Lastly, every owner of Primal Carnage gets a Battle-Scarred T-Rex skin, which shows a bloodied T-Rex that's seen its fair share of combat.

About the Game

Primal Carnage is an online multiplayer shooter that will engross its players in skilled PVP combat, team-based strategy and savage class-oriented matches unlike any you've previously experienced; be it an armed human mercenary or a cunning dinosaur, Primal Carnage is sure to unleash the inner beast in anyone who seeks to survive amongst the fittest.

It’s Man versus Dinosaur in the ultimate fight for dominance, who will emerge victorious and who will become extinct? Let the primal carnage commence!

The Human Team:

As the Mercenaries, you must utilize advanced first-person military tactics and weaponry, teaming up with your squadmates to crush the vicious onslaught of any dinosaurs you encounter before they reach you first. Only through calculated team-based strategies will you and your comrades be fully prepared for any prehistoric threat that may hinder your operations.

The Scientist: An expert markswoman who’s no stranger to big game, with a keen eye and a steady aim she can destroy targets at range with ease but she’s always in need of backup when the danger gets a little too close for comfort.

The Commando: A military veteran the commando is adept at unleashing a hailstorm of lead upon his foes, with bullets to spare and a built in grenade launcher he’s going to be a tough target for even the largest of dinosaurs.

The Pathfinder: A survival expert with a gambling fixation, he travels prepared and serves as a guide for the other humans through the savage wilderness. With a trusty shotgun and repurposed distress flares he’s adaptable to any situation.

The Trapper: A game hunter with a glint in his eye, he packs twin pistols and his pride and joy a gas powered netgun for trapping and immobilizing dinosaurs. He’s still on the lookout for the perfect pair of boots.

The Pyromaniac: A Scotsman with a custom “Flamesaw”, a combination Flamethrower and Chainsaw. He’s mad, he’s Scottish and he has a passion for ripping apart flesh and burning things, what’s not to like?... Oh, he also carries explosives.

The Dinosaurs:

As the Dinosaurs, you will employ a keen awareness of the environment and utilize your natural abilities within a third-person perspective to continue your existance as the most dominant predators ever to walk Earth.

The Raptor: The pack hunter, the fast hitter, Raptors are swift, nimble hunters capable of traversing terrain with ease, ripping apart victims in seconds and disappearing without a trace… and that’s when they’re alone.

The Dilophosaurus: The ambusher, it’s a hideous, venomous, vile creature straight from your nightmares, capable of disabling victims from range before going in for the kill or setting them up as a ready meal for some other ravenous dinosaur.

The Pteranodon: Take to the skies and see the battle from a bird’s eye view as you help coordinate your team by highlighting enemy positions and movements, then when your victims are at their most vulnerable swoop in and attack, flying off with your human prize.

The Carnotaurus: Big, mean, short tempered and unstoppable. The Carnotaurus is a freight train of muscle and power, it charges at full force using devastating horns to maim any who get in his path. There’s no outrunning a Carnotaurus.

The T.rex: The all-time king of the dinosaurs himself, 10 tons of earth shaking hell on earth, with a bite force strong enough to crunch bones with ease and feet large enough to crush a man, you better find somewhere out of his reach because if he catches you, it’s game over.

Primal Carnage review

Primal Carnage is a fun, fast-pace action game. There are two different types of teams: Humans vs Dinosaurs. Each have 5 different classes that has different weapons, skills and style. It is a very fun game to play and I recommend it if you're looking for a fun multiplayer experience. The only thing I would probably complain about is the fact you simply cannot level and obtain different skins. If you want skins, you will have to pay for it. But, however the developers give out FREE DLC instead. So I can't really complain about that. Get this game already!

The game didnt interest me, it's only a multiplayer dinosaur game. You are either a human and shoot the dinosaurs or your a dinosaur that try to kill the humans. The concept is pretty good, however its lacking a story to make it more interesting.

Although currently having some balance issues this Man vs Dinosaur title that is Primal Carnage provide a fun fast paced action game that is well worth your monety. Doesn't suffer in the number of players playing the game so there are no problems finding games to join.

The quickmatch option usualy takes a maximum of 10sec to find a server to play on.

If you have ever wanted to fight against dinosaurs or play as one. This is the game to get. The multiplayer is fun and never gets old. Playing with friends makes this game much better.

A good online action game for jurassic era fans. Though it's men vs. dinosaurs, it's hard to prove that there's any tactical co-operation. There's rather a skirmish going on, but it's safe to say that the game is good enough to entertain FPS fans.

Awesome shooter game - One of those nice simple games (similar to killing floor) that will be greatly underestimated. It's simple but brilliant

Huge scale battles are great fun and chaotic! While the small scale matches are a tense espionage style fight.

Well worth the price!

It's pretty, it's indie, and it's exciting. It feature 2 sides, 10 classes, with completely different play styles, atmospheres, and experiences (1st person little human vs 3rd person big dinosaur, sniper vs flamethrower, flying vs agile predator vs giant lumbering T-Rex of pure destruction, etc).

The graphics is pretty, and pretty realistic too. The team random auto-balance feature and the complete lack of pay-to-win feature ensure an purely addictive and fun experience without too much unfairness.

It worth at least 15 bucks, so buy it while it's still cheap.

I thought it was a really cool idea for a game, not your normal FPS...one side plays as the humans and the other as the dinosaurs..its been pretty cool so far.

BUY IT!! grow this community

A game doesn't always need a boatload of feature to be just plain fun, and this game fits into that category nicely. It's still newish and from a 3rd party developer, so expect to see some more DLC and refinements in the future. Even as is, it's a bare-bones multiplayer shoot'em-up between dinos and mercs, and it does the job of keeping you entertained.
