I enjoyed this immensely. Plus points: 1. I find myself liking the hexagonal puzzle more than the old PO. 2. Less luck involved. (very rarely do chains occur without proper usage of weapons/skills) 3. Very little "useless" weapons/skills compared to PQ Minus points: 1. Time gate hacking is quite difficult if you just mindless click away without thinking. This will turn casual gamers off At the end of the day, I enjoy this a lot. More so than the original PQ (which is itself extremely enjoyable.) Finding myself playing to the wee hours to the dismay of my wife =), which is in the end what matters when rating a game ;-).

I really enjoy the first Puzzle Quest, but the number of encounter in the over map just ruined Galactrix for me. It's not unfrequent to be stuck between two worlds with encouters on each side. There is so many battles that you feel completely disengage from the story, not at the beginning but after you begin to battle contreband (like every ships does it). The battle windows suffers from FPS problems even with a good system. The story seem to be as good as the first one, but I am too tired from the incessant combat to go through it. The board feels more aleatory then strategic, and because of this, you don't feel like you have much control like before. Overall, I am not please with the game. There is a distinction to be made between an addictive game, and a repetitive one. This one isn't focus enouph. They put so much content that you get easily overwhelm and uninterested.
