Mystery of the Lunar Archipelago review

By ulateac posted 28th August 2011

This hidden object game is definately one of the better games in this genre. Every search scene has you looking for items befitting of the story told, and not some random items. The minigames are fun and require some thinking without becoming frustrating.

The graphics are crisp and colorful. The scenes themselves have small animated things going on in the background, making them come alive. The sounds are sufficient, although the background music can become irritating after a while.

The only negative I have, is that sometimes it's not very clear what you're supposed to do next. But a little thinking is often enough to be able to continue with the game.

All in all though, it's definately a good game. But it's also only 3 hours long, so it might not be very good value for the money. Of course, if you bought it during a sale (like me) it's very good value for the money.

Played this hidden object game with my girlfriend on a rainy Sunday and truly enjoyed it. Nice graphics and good sound wise plus very easy to pick-up and play for all ages. What we enjoyed the most is the inclusion of puzzle using the items found in the level. This adds a bit of variety to object hunting plus there's a couple of mini-games here in there too. The price is a bit high for the overall length but still a safe buy for "HOG" enthusiast.
