What a game ! If you like old fighting games, you'll love this one, outdated and hard as it is, it is a true fighting games classic, along with Double Dragon (remake, anybody?)

I can't find any matchmaking games in my region (South East Asia), but strangely other GFWL game (Red Faction Guerilla, Flatout Ultimate Carnage) can actually find games easily, altho the pings are not actually make it playable, probably I found games right across the globe, not somewhere near, but that's only proven that MK Arkade Kollection's matchmaking was somewhat broken.

The games themselves, are absolute blasts. It's really faithful arcade ports, with some filterings applied, just like the recent waves of old fighter games re-releases on the PS3. It's nothing like SSF2 Turbo HD Remix tho. It's simply the same old graphics, with some real-time filterings to make the graphics look smoother.

Having played all three, the best which is MK2, the game "collected some dust" in my PC, barely touch it anymore, and I can't find any interested player playing this decade-old game.

Still, it's a bit too much for nostalgia reasons alone. Just wished MK9 was released on PC, but oh well... I can still find great amount of players in SSFIVAE anyway.

Let me start with a statement that I am a big Mortal Kombat fan for over 15 years. So this review may be a bit biased...

Here we have the flawless experience of Mortal Kombat on PC. Everything looks fine, even eldest Mortal Kombat one! Truly, it is a remix of old, and with old, I mean *good*. The most classic, outrageous at their time, Mortal Kombat titles all in one pack! You can choose which game to play, the controls are superb, experience is all the same and even better than original titles... All in all, I recommend it both to old veterans as myself and to younger ones, to see what the fuss was 15 years ago :)

Single player, this game is cheap.

It will do things that you can, MK2 in particular requires a level of precision that only shmup fans will love, MK1 seems to have a bug where you can't throw your opponent...

But...

Get a pad and a buddy and you will have a WHALE of a time.

It's silly, OTT and, quite frankly a 2UP fighter mostly devoid of technicality.

But it's FUN.

Big fun...and that's why I'm a gamer.

4/5, would be 5/5 if the 1UP was still as seductive.

Classic MK! Sweet! The single player works fine, online also. No bugs yet for me. The only thing i don't like is the controls bindings, but you can change them from the config.ini with a text program. MK2 looks the best, but UMK3 plays the best. Also MK1 is fun for nostalgia and its the game that started the series. Don't expect fancy stuff, it's the pure arcade experience (only free play :P you don't need coins). Also i like that they added moves list so it's a bit more user friendly than the old arcade version. Buy it! If you like MK, classic arcade games, fighting games GET IT!

I love this game, its my favorite! The best part of this is playing it online (whenever people are on...not that many yet because the game is too new ill assume) !!! None the less, the game plays flawless on my quad core, 8gig rig. Single player is perfect. Online so far works, but no opponents yet.
