One of the best games I've ever played. A long time ago, a pal lent me this game and of cause I had to try it immediately. It was hard to turn off the pc, I just wanted to go on playing this game. :D

In my opinion this game is an all time classic everyone should have. Regarding the price there is no reason not to buy it.

This is an older but good game. Little bit of The elder scrolls Oblivion with a little bit of

Half Life and some more elements. If you like Oblivion with more shorter quests / more fights

more action /less role playing but some elements of Half Life with the of course more

dungeon style this can be a game for you to check out. I had several hours of fun playing ...

so one of the few older games still worth checking out nowadays ... of course not the best graphics

for today ... but more important very good gameplay ... hard to find on newer games today.

So maybe for today not 5 stars worth ... but as for me graphics are not all ... I give this game 5.

The multi player is dead but the single player campaign is well worth playing. The combat is the most interesting to play that I can recall from any game and even though the visuals are a little they are not bad still. Well worth getting, especially if you catch it on sale!

The game has a very nice fighting system, one of the best I've experienced. The story is ok, holds the game quite well and isn't over-fantasized. The graphics are good taking in consideration the time when this game was launched.

The speels are great, there is a large variaty for the user to choose from.

Overall a good RPG!

awesome dungeon crawling RPG. lots of little hidden things in this game which personally, i like to look for, for those looking for a challange, on the hardest difficulty setting its easy to die in one hit (use the environment)

Now I'm not gonna pretend this is the best game in the world, but I'm not gonna sit here and let you think it's a straight up throwaway title either. The multiplayer was fun, but it's dead, so now buy it on sale for as low as possible for the fun single player. It's a streamlined level based RPG with decent graphics and effects, I actually enjoy the look of the game, and it's just fun to play. PLus you can kick people. Off ledges, And they yell to their doom. Seriously, if that's not worth 2.50 then nothing is. No regrets, this game is fun as shit.

What a game, its got a great story line that drives you forward through the game, it has a very good skill system allowing you to persue your goals via Archery, Melee, Stealth and Magic.

One of the neater additions to the game are the world physics, whether you are using a telekinisis spell to move objects, or picking up a barrel to throw at an enemy or going oldskool and just kicking enemies into spikes on walls or into fires, death dealing never gets boring in this great game!

A first person RPG of Might and Magic, but not like the old school M&M RPG. It is more of a action game and RPG hybrid based on the new M&M lore created by Ubi. It is a fun game. Slashing, stealth killing and throwing magic at orcs are all fun. It has multiplayer option, but nowadays it is not likely to find many people playing it. The singleplayer componenet still worths your try. It is a good game on its own right.

Dark Messiah is a good first person hack and slash/RPG adventure and a worthy addition in the Might & Magic universe that revolutionized melee combat system back in the 2006. Player can use a variety of attack moves and combat stances to defeat enemies along with powerful magic spells, all of which need to be unlocked by using experience points obtained while completing various objectives in the game. You can also use environment to your advantage in the battle. The game is moderately difficult and rushing into battles usually result in quick death. You can be a powerful and acrobatic warrior, blindingly-fast and sneaky thief, a mage armed with devastating spells or a mix of classes.

The story in the game is average, predictable and exists solely to keep the player moving. You play as Sareth, a mage's apprentice who is sent on a task to obtain a valuable artefact along with a spirit called Xana who is bound to your soul. As the story progresses, Sareth will play a central role in determining the fate of the entire world of Ashan. There are four different endings, which provide a good incentive to play the game many times with different style of plays. The music is also average and unobtrusive, while the sound effects and voice acting are good, especially the voice acting of Xana which gives an interesting and complex take on an evil character.

On the other hand, while the levels are dynamic and beautiful to look at, they can feel quite repetitious and grinding at times, with waves of enemies that tend to appear from places you already "cleaned". Multiplayer component is comprised of various interesting modes with players leveling as they collect frags and accomplish objectives. The combat in multiplayer requires a period of adjusting and practice so you can't just barge in for a quick fun. There are a few active servers with a small but passionate community that still plays this game.

Overall, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic is an interesting and fun RPG/FPS hybrid that is, despite numerous small flaws, more than worth your time.

One of the best RPG's.

The physics is awesome, you will love kicking off orcs and goblins from cliff sides:)

Making every single liftable object in the game your weapon is a really fun thing and there are a lot of them. For this price its a must.

Good, grim, gritty game - gracias Gamersgate!

I remember seeing my friend playing this back when it was first released and it was awesome. Fast forward to 2012, and it's still just as awesome (even moreso now that I'm the one playing it!) The game has held up well, and gives you a number of options for character progression. The skills are nice and varied, and I reckon you could get a few runs out of the game based on trying out different character builds.

The gameplay is smooth, and is probably one of the best melee systems I've seen in a FP game. I was initially planning on having a magic focused character, but the melee was so fun that I changed my mind!

So why not 5 stars? The game is definitely GREAT and I would heartily recommend it, but my perspective has probably been skewed a bit by nostalgia/rose-tints from remembering back to when I first saw it. It didn't blow me away as much as I remember it doing back in the day. There's a lot of kicking things into/off of other things, which I remember as being brutally comical when I was watching it in short bursts, but in the game CAN get a little tedious.

Nevertheless, I would say that if you've gotten bored on your TESes and the like, give this old gem a try. I doubt it will disappoint!

Good game. Great graphics, beautiful cinematics. Fights are exciting (I really enjoy kicking monsters, especially when they are close to chasms). Even at normal difficulty the game is very challenging. In general, Dark Messiah is closer to games made from movies (like Eragon) than classic RPG such as Gothic or Elder Scroll. It means the game doesn't last long and the number of collectible items is limited. There is one quest, no more. It doesn't allow large freedom. I completed the game in one weekend, but I enjoyed it anyway. Must be because of its high quality design. Not my favorite, but I would recommend it anyway.

This game is great, it has really exciting combat and a decent story. It allows you to use the environment to your advantage against enemies. Graphics aren't bad even today.

Dark Messiah Might & Magic is a title that is oft-overlooked, but deserves much more recognition. Boasting one of the most detailed and immersive melee systems in a video game, the combat is as entertaining as it is visceral. Although the game is somewhat lacking in the story department, and can occasionally seem difficult and repetitive, the challenge and successes that winning a difficult fight brings will more than make up for any misgivings. Overall, Dark Messiah Might & Magic is a great game, and the challenges and gameplay will make your purchase a worthwhile one.

You've got magic powers, interesting combat and tactical possibilities, but ultimately you will spend most of your time kicking things into other things. I guess there's a plot here somewhere, but nothing that amazing. Fantasy, you know? Graphics are... well, it's the Source engine. Ever see Half Life 2? It looks like that. With orcs.

This was the first game I played on my Alienware laptop back in the day. Even now the graphics and gameplay are amazing! Throughly enjoyed this game and the story. Wish they would make a sequel. I was gobsmacked the first time I played it 5 years ago. I bought it on here just for kicks and still find it a good game to play.

Exceptional game :)

Great game, bit hard at times but otherwise great. It takes advantage of the powers of source by having traps and the likes. The combat is also very well designed. The graphics aren't bad either considering how old the game is. 5/5

A really good game, nice story and a clever combat system

One of the first games, where you could use the environment to your advantage.

I can still remember the good old days, when one could kick/push the opponent of a cliff.. glorious! Simple put, a real gem.
