Magicka Nippon DLC review

Not sure if arrowhead is still donating money received from dlc buyers to help the japanese victims, but the dlc itself is okay although its only a new robe. The blade does its job, as it has a nice damage and speed compared to other weapons, and the bamboo staff can be a life saver on pvp matches. Buy it if you like the outfit.

A very nice game, with a little bonus as this DLC shown, also a part of the money you spent will go to Japan wich is good, immagine, you buy something for yourself and give a little help to who is in need, i would say to buy it if you enjoy magicka.

Supporting Japan never was so fabulous before. Worth the pennies to get the sweet loot as well as the even sweeter karma.

Paradox and Arrowhead were generous enough to make a DLC exclusive for Japan tsunami hit victims. And all the funds generated by this DLC will be donated to japan affected areas. Its an amazing gesture by a small indie studio. DLC itself lets you play with 3 exclusive Japanese inspired items. I must say 'Kimono robe' looks really awesome. If you are planning on buying MAGICKA DLCs, please buy this one first.

How can you go wrong here? A great new set of gear for your character, and an opportunity to donate to a good cause. I think this one is a no brainer.

Japanese stuff is in. Just ask anyone that likes anime. Okay, so there's no anime in this DLC. But you do get an awesome Samurai sword. I mean, it cuts through armor! Like a real samurai. Also, you'll look pretty stylish in your kimono. Not really. But you'll have a samurai sword!

A good gesture

Idea of making a donation through a dlc and getting a symbolic ietm in return is , I'd say, commendable. It's not clear though whether a part of the proceedings still go the the Japan Relief effort. If so, this should be better advertised on the website

Bought this during gamergates summer sale, and for a dollar you cannot go wrong. Part of the purchase price goes towards helping japan and the content included is well worth the purchase price. You get all Japanese themed items all of which help with the brand new pvp update that has recently been added, I cannot recommend it more.

Hahaha you want review?! Silly boy! It's just a DLC - simple addon for Magicka - few extra things for one $ or € or whatever... All money goes to organizations helping Japan after earthquake and tsunami. That's all you need to know ;) So... Buy it! If you like Magicka and your heart is not from stone or cold metal, then buy it!

Magicka Nippon DLC review

The Magicka Nippon DLC is another addition to the popular action-adventure video game Magicka.

The DLC includes a Kimono robe and a straw hat, a Katana that cuts through armor and is called "Yawarakai-Te" (which means "Tender Hands" and refers to a legend of Japan's greatest swordsmith Masamune), and a Bamboo Staff called "Staff of Endurance" that gives the player resistance to all elements.

Although it's not a must-have, I think this DLC is worth its tiny price, because the Staff of Endurance is a powerful asset (especially for the upcoming free PvP update) and your wizard looks cool in the new outfit, so you can brag to your friends. Also if you buy it until June 3rd, 50% of net revenue will be donated to the Japan Relief Support program.
