If you love Risk, then you'll love this game. There are a ton of different maps you can download. It's very easy to grab new maps, and the interface is easy to learn. The price may seem a bit steep at $14.95, but you are getting a quality product with over 800 different maps, including some really cool historical scenarios.

For me the game has been rock solid and not even a hiccup, and I definitely recommend it to any of my friends that use to love playing Risk (either the board game or the video game) back in the day.

It's basically the board game with hundreds (if not more) maps to play on and it plays nearly similar to the board game. Lux Deluxe even offers you the ability to create your own maps.

This is the game you must buy if you've enjoyed Risk. There are humdreds of maps available to you so you can keep playing for next few years. It's ideal for those who just want to play short games and continue with theirs lives.

Imo it is a good game that is well worth the money but unless you can host by forwarding a router you might have a hard time playing whith your friends take that into account before buying this, If you like the board game Risk you love this game

I had my sights on this awesome-looking Risk clone, but like the reviewer before me, found the $15 price tag a bit of a risk (pun half-intended). I did buy Ancient Empires Lux (from some other store.. I don't remember which), however, and found the interface to be very usable -- if you liked the feel of Risk II, the Lux series will feel very familiar very quick. The music is good, as well.

Today, to my surprise, GG put the game on 66% sale, so I snatched it up instantly for $5! After a few hours of playing, I can add this about Lux Delux: HUGE value for your money!! Sillysoft did a great job of encouraging user-created content, and these install very very easily right within the game launcher. There's a good variety in these maps, too, with some being pretty basic and others being pretty complex. Some maps are imaginary, some are historical. With great AI, network play, and rankings, pretty much any Risk fan should be satisfied even at the $15 price. I know I'll be coming back to this game from time to time for years to come.

This game is in essence a risk clone. That said, it's a very good clone. Intuitive and quick interface, high re-playability due to a vast library of maps and good multiplayer support with an active community combines in a overall very fun little game.

I found the price of 15 euro slightly on the high side, and would find 10 euro more appropriate. A demo can be tried on the dev's home page, which I recommend.
