Jet Set Radio review

its great to see a classic dreamcast game released for the pc i beleive the dreamcast just came out at the wrong time it really was a different system compared to sony and nintendo with its own set of AAA+ games it would be awesome to see a dreamcast 2 launch alongside the ps4 and new xbox but i doubt we will see a new system from sega anytime soon. this game is alot of fun with its funky music and cool colors 5 stars.

A Dreamcast Classic - Updated and improved

I don't know where to start with this game. Think Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, with Wind Waker graphics, and an arcadey feel. Now add in the heavy emphasis on the soundtrack and you have this. Now I'll openly admit, I don't like the soundtrack. Many, many people love it. On the plus side, you can mute the music, open your music player of choice, and make your own soundtrack if you wish. Fun game if you catch a sale and can get it for $5 like I did. There are some issues with crashing on my PC, but they aren't very common. This issue, combined with the lack of native ability to make custom soundtracks, and the difficulty of importing your own graffiti tags, got this a 4-star. In terms of gameplay, the fun factor is certainly a 5

Great HD version of one of the best Dreamcast games. It is the same game but in HD and widescreen support. If you enjoy SEGA arcade games, this title is a must have.

JET SET RADIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

If you enjoy house-funky music, and cartoon render graphics (this game was the first one to use cel-shading), buy this, NOW!

(Finally on PC, I played this game too much on my Dreamcast (RIP DC, the one I have since 2001 died last year).

Well, playing this games makes me remember when I had a Dreamcast, and I used to play this game on it. It's really cool, such an unique gameplay. The style of the game is also cool, cell-shaded graphics, and it has a great soundtrack, a lot of nice tunes. And there isn't a lot of roller skating games out there, and this is a great option. I love the propouse of the game that is dancing, skating and graffiting. Technically the game works fine, no problems, widescreen and full HD resolution. But just that, no graphics improvements from the original version, just anti-aliasing.

Great game but aged poorly

It was a great game when it first came out and if you have good memories of it then you will still probably enjoy it, but if it's your first time playing it some of the mechanics can be annoying. The time restraint and camera would be the main things that didn't age well but the art style and music are still good.

LOVE LOVE YOU!

i am a HUGE fan of this franchise, i cant be unbiased at all because i honestly feel it is one of the most revolutionary games ever made. and the translation to HD on the PC is FLAWLESS! mind you this was NEVER an easy game, it takes some work to get 100% on it even when you know exactly what to do, and because of that it is insanely rewarding! there is 1 song missing that was on the original sound track i think, but honestly i ripped the soundtrack myself on my dreamcast YEARS ago so it doesnt bother me at ALL. other than that theres some great developer videos added which make it technically EVEN BETTER than the dreamcast version.

i hope everyone enjoys this game as much as i have over the years.

Jet Set Radio was a great game when it came out in 2000 but unfortunately it may not have ages too well over the years. Some changes have been made in this HD version, the games camera is now made better with the innovation of two thumbsticks, but as a whole it looks poor when held up to the standard of modern games. If a "pure" adaption of the game with nicer graphics is all you could ask for then you'll be satisfied. But if you have no nostalgia or cant at least appreciate the games style through all its jank you'll only be disappointed. Some may be better of letting the memory of how awesome this game was remain unspoiled by time.
