Fun rpg, old school fighting system. Interesting graphics. Fairly easy, short and ya got to buy the next one for a possible proper ending. For 10 bucks I wouldn't recommend it unless you like these type of games for 5 bucks it's worth it.

A fun, if easy, game. The game isn't too long and is fairly straightforward. There isn't much replay value as a result (neither the story nor character development really offer much in the way of choice). There are awards/achievements that are granted for achieving certain goals; however, they aren't revealed until they are unlocked, so they don't provide much incentive to replay the game if you've beaten it before achieving them all.

Do you want to relive the nostalgia of playing old-school jap RPGs? JRPGs of the 8 and 16 bit era like Final Fantasy series, Breath of Fire or Chrono Trigger? Well this game tries to bring back the old school glory of the JRPG with a modern (albeit kinda like a MMO) feel.

The Good:

All the old school JRPG bits are here - turn based combat, well made anime styled characters, magic spells. The music of the game really brings back the old 16 bit music those games have. Plus: the game comes with a quest tracker which old JRPGs just doesn't have to reduce the hassle. XBOX 360 controller works fine for this game and with the really low requirements you can play it on a netbook.

The Bad:

The game's story seems a bit too cliche and it seems to lack emotion. At the start of this game, you seem to be like the world's errand boy. You have no exposition on who you are besides dull conversations with NPCs. Old JRPGs also make you like and errand boy but they disguise it with more backstory and cutscenes. Also, the character images in conversations are static (it's remarkable when you remember the old Final Fantasy sprites to convey so much emotion with just 32 pixels).

The Ugly:

I can't stand that every side quest - the person asks you if you want to do the quest....Of course I'm doing it, I get no reward (nor consequence) for not doing any.
