Stars and Stripes greatly enhances the representation of the United States in the game, improving unit detail and adding additional gameplay mechanics and events.

If you play the United States, this is a must have DLC. It adds a lot of details (events, units, etc) that really increase the enjoyment. It only works for the United States, so if you do not enjoy playing them, then don't bother with this DLC.

Essentially, this is a mod for the American player in HoI3... and it does a fantastic job of adding historical flavor to the vanilla game. It can be a bit difficult to patch the mod and bring it up to the latest FTM patch -- you have to go searching in the Paradox forums for the updates -- but it's more than worth the effort. I don't believe it works with Their Finest Hour yet, though.

With this DLC, it really enhance your campaign as part of USA. It's not just typical sprites, it gave the game new fresh look and feel. Definitely worth the price.

This DLC is maybe one of the best DLCs ever make for Hearts of Iron 3. It gives you posibility to envolved in the real WWII. Play fun!

This DLC is like the Gottesdammerung one with focus on the US. Definitely makes your game ritcher but at the same time a bit unbalanced.

Ive never really enjoyed playing as the USA in hearts of iron 3 but this small DLC greatly improves the vanilla game and brings the US experience alive. well worth the purchase

Honestly, to me, I never found America to be an enjoyable nation to play as in HOI3. It was essentially the same gameplay as any other Major Power only completely dull and boring (compared to the other Majors) until early to mid 1940s. With this DLC, America actually feels like, well, America. I always wanted to try out the lend-lease system but was very disappointed with how vanilla, and expansions, left that out. For $1.99, it is an amazing deal. It truly does feel like an entirely different game, much like the other Dies Irae add-on(s).

Adds a lot if you are playing as the Americans. Paradox grand strategy games can seemingly do no wrong!

This is a must have for any Hearts of Iron III player that love to command the Stars and Stripes. The detail and additional attention to the U S of A is a welcome addition to the HoI3 game. And the price is great for the value and hours for new game time you will enjoy. Great DLC!

To begin with I must confess I have not played the USA w/o this addon, but having played several other countries in HoI 3 vanilla, I still feel I have something to add.

First off, for something priced at 1,99 € I don't feel it needs to add much value to be priceworthy. With that said, Stars and Stripes does add close to a ton off new features, events, and so forth. You want to invade Canada according to the historical plans? Train Paramarines, who not only jump out of planes, but also work as regular marines? Start a massive lend and lease project? Build the historical Manhattan-project? Join the Axis? Everything is in there.

I give it a five-star rating, based on the low price and large amount of new stuff. However, be aware that if you're not interested in playing USA, you might as well skip this one.

This is not a simple DLC, it changes completely the way you play USA. If you thought that playing US was boring due to the low involvement of the country in the war... this DLC definitely enhances the experience!

To all the HOI3 Fans out there that are looking for more immersment into the game this expansion surely does the job. Playing the U.S. has never been one of my favorite nations to play but the in depth events and new stratifies that this expansion brings out makes playing the U.S to a whole new level. This expansion is a great addition toe the HOI3 tittle and is a must have for all the HoI fans out there. If you pass this expansion up you'll be missing out on alot.

This mod greatly enhances the US. LIke with Götterdämmerung: If you planm to play the US sooner or later, buy this thing - it's cheap and it makes the game-experience considerably better.

Do you play the USA in Hearts Of Iron III? If so it'd be insane not to pick this up. Stars and Stripes adds flavor, something base HoI lacks. Like the other DLC in the Dies Rae series, Stars and Stripes enhances one particular country. In this case, the USA is given many improvements such as flavor events and units as well as a series of different enhancements to features already in the game. If I were buying HoI III right now I would get the complete collection and Both of the Dies Irae DLC.

The Dies Irae for the USA, add technologies and events for the USA. If playing as the sleeping giant is your thing, this DLC will add flavor to that. It's a shame that is only adds for the USA, though.

This mod make the US gameplay a lot more unique. However, I will actually want to see this mod and the German mod merging and also enhancing gameplay for other nations.

The second mod in the Dies Irae series, this one focuses on the USA and what a great mod it is! Massive amounts of events really allow you to take the often boring USA into all manner of fun ahistorical scenarios like joining the Axis or warmongering all over the globe. Lot's of attention to detail in the new unit cards and historical units round this out. Highly recommended if you play as the USA.

Wow, does this improve an alreazdy awesome game experience. So many cool new add ons and events to make playing as the US fresh again. It is the only way to play as the US. Highly reccomend everyone who owns HOI3 pick this cheap DLC up. Totally worth it.

This scenario is very immersing to the era. Nothing feels quite as good as landing your troops on Normandy in this game. Highly recommend for history armchair generals.
