If you are seeking a new, unique team-based game to play with some friends on Halloween, The Haunted is a worthy choice. Just know that you may not want to play it in November, when you are still facing the same server, waiting, and technical issues that plagued its release.

At first it seems like a boring and repetitive 3rd person shooter. But once you play it it grows on you. The game was created with co-op in mind and the difficulty is not scaled properly. Approaching the game as a single player is extremely difficult, making even the first map almost impossible to complete. The AI is sometimes a bit wonky and the game feels unpolished in places, so I had to take one star down.

Fun, but not much to help it differentiate from other arena shooters. Waves come and go, you shoot them, fun with friends... If you are in the market for this type of game, buy it, but there are better choices in my opinion.

An exciting back to the basics third person defense/wave shooter, kind of like Killing Floor. You play online, work together and splat monsters and upgrade your weapons through addictive and fun gameplay. It runs on UE3 so the graphics are great. But like the other reviews mention it can be hard to find players online. Great if you buy it with a couple buddies though.

An extremely corny but surprisingly addicting wave based third person shooter. The only reason why I wouldn't recommend it is because of the lack of available servers. This, however, can be averted if you play with friends (a must for this game as the singleplayer loses appeal after the first two games.)

This game doesn't get as much love, but I think it's a pretty decent game at what it is. Just a horror themed wave shooter with a ton of demon/zombie monsters that come at you in waves. It's cheesy and over the top, but for a quick pick up and play just blast stuff game I enjoy it.

Running on the Unreal engine this game is pretty fun to play with friends, unfortunately not many people playing but if you can get a game going its pretty fun.

If played in co-op and with voicechat this game offers you lot of fun. Maps are nice and there's lots of weapons you can use and upgrade. But it's a pity that after couple of rounds it's still the same. I hope that creators will be adding more content soon. For 2€ this was a bargain.

It's a very good game based on Unreal engine. I had lot of fun with friends when we were playing this game, but if you want to play with random pelople, it can be much harder to find people, because there are 2-3 servers only

I was playing it with my buddy, this game is hilarious and absolutley fun! The upgradable weapons bring you are good sortiment of weapons to get those zeds handled.

Too bad the servers online are almost empty..

Don't expect a long drawn out story with loads of dialogue and character development. If that's what you want look elsewhere. Do you like a challenging shooter/survival game that has you frantically shooting and dodging demons? This game was created for people like you! Not to mention it's decently priced, and I just haven't gotten sick of decapitating demons after the tens of hours I've spent in the game so far. Some highlights are: Visuals are great. Levels are very different and fun. Controls are good (love queuing up combos between shooting). No story (plus or minus depending on your taste). Free DLC later (yes please). Challenging difficulty (you will have to work up to normal or hard.

Third person survival shooter, filled with gore and horde of demons that you must kill for survive, the game itself is really fun to play in co-op online, weapons are great and the melee attacks are funny, sad thing is the game is very repetitive, if you get a chance to buy this game do so, you might have a few good laughs.

Slaughtering zombies in a whirl of chaos and gore is great fun and the variety of enemies is good enough to keep you on your toes. Can get a bit repetitive once you become more familiar with the game. Had great fun with it nonetheless and definitely felt like I got my moneys worth!

I've been keeping an eye on this game for a while now, I played it back when it was just a mode for UT3, and enjoyed it then, so I was pretty interested when they announced the retail version coming to Steam. Then it just dropped off my radar after release, and I finally got around to buying it once it was on sale here. Then I started playing it, and remembered why I hated UT3 these days. As almost every UE3 game ever released, this game does not work in Eyefinity, which is a real shame, because it's a really good game.

Extremely enjoyable and gory, a truly hilarious game. For best results play with friends over some sort of voice chat....so you can hear them scream as a zombie pops up to eat them.worth every cent.

Also did i mention the rediculous amount of gore :P

The Haunted: Hells Reach is a third person survival shooter. You are trying to survive against hordes of demons. The game is really fun to play in co-op online. The weapons feels great and the melee attacks are fun. The bad thing is that it gets a bit repetive.

The Haunted is sort of a sequel of a famous UT3 mod. The basic concept is survive mutliple waves of monsters and get the highest score you can, its like the Horde mode thats included in most games these days. The game gives you multiple melee moves, upgradable weapons and 3 friends to defeat the waves of monsters. The enemies in the game are all varied, well designed and dangerous. Hells Reach uses the UT3 engine so it looks amazing. The environments are very detailed and quite large. Environmental effects such as fire tornados, lighting storms or acid rain make the game even more tense. This game is without a doubt one of the hardest survival types out there. Without friends its really hard to survive even the first wave. The game so far has been mostly lag free for me and getting into a game is a breeze. So all thats left to say is buy it now!
