I really wanted to like Helldorado, I was so in the mood for a good western game, but it just didn't do it for me. I wanted a stealth game like the old "Commando" games, but I found my self killing my way around the map instead of trying to sneak. I really tried not to kill any one on the first levels, but had to give it up when there was an entire army of enemy's against my heroes. And as a western action game Helldorado is just weird. There is a first-person mood that you can go to in the game to do some of the more trickier kills, but game-mechanics that a enemy only can see things a few feet in front of them make it really odd. I cant recommend it to everyone, but if you want a sneaking game about massmurdering western "heroes" and have to much money this could be the game for you.

I thought it might be different and was expecting more open combat like Avalon Hills Gunfighter instead of THIEF packaged as a western. Too much STEALTH involved and not enough real live action or strategy. Very disappointed.

This is quite fun! It's actually the third installment of Desperados, and came out two years ago in Germany. The graphics are quite nice for a tactical game, and the voice-acting is acceptable, while also appropriately ridiculous. There's a lot of sneaking involved, so be warned. There's also a rather nice combo character-action system and a cinematic action view for pre-planned attacks. WARNING: The Physx that comes with this game is very outdated! You'll be a lot better off not installing it and instead going to the Nvidia site and installing the last two Physx drivers if you don't have it already.
