The Great White Destroyer review

This is a really fun, totally non politically correct game. Have a blast munching your way forward taking on everything from hapless fish and swimmners to fish hooks, rifles and explosives - even submarines and a battleship. I love this game with its over the top blood fest gameplay. Great casual gaming for when you've a short gaming window.

Definitely not my sort of game, but totally worth the $1.50 (US) I spent on it.

I spent about 25 minutes on the game and it's pretty entertaining. The cartoony, slightly 'dated' styled visuals are definitely deliberate and really adds to the overall feel of the game. I like the online high scores board and the different achievements you can get.

The only two things I don't like about the game is that right off the bat after you run the game, it asks if you want to unlock all the content. It will only ask you once. I thought: "What does that mean exactly?" Yes, I knew it meant exactly that, but what were the consequences of doing so? Why weren't it automatically unlocked in the first place? Of course thinking on the safer side of things, I chose Unlock all, to find that I no longer had to work to unlock levels - I think. o_o

Anyway, the second issue is the control of the shark. Between Slow and Medium speed, it's rarely noticeable. I ended up holding down both buttons most of the time for Fast and using Medium when I try to eat things. Wish there was a way to set the speeds OR at least, make it more 'useful'.

All in all, great humor, great casual fun. Not my sort of game, but definitely recommend to those who like these desktop coffee break games.

The concept of this game is rather simple, eat everything in sight. Guided by the rage of the shark god, you must navigate your shark through its blood thirsty rampage. Sounds fun enough as it is, but this game manages to pull it off in a more unique fashion.

This game is easy to pick up due to it's simple controls. The mouse moves your shark and the mouse buttons control your speed. Anything edible that is in front of your shark, he will eat. It starts off easy with some fish and maybe a swimmer or two, but as you continue you''ll have to find ways to avoid attacking sea creatures as well as humans in their pesky submarines. There's a nice variety of enemies that all have different behaviors; some will run away fight sight while others are more aggressive. I really like how the enemies can damage each other as well as you, leading to some hectic situations. For example, divers who miss you with their spear gun can hit other divers and fish by mistake.

I really like the overall style of this game. It has cartoon style sprites that have a nice level of detail. Debris and bodies fly as you commence your attack and it is all quite satisfying. The game has a sense of humor as well which you find out in the cutscenes. This game has character and really stands out amongst other budget games.

Overall this game is short but worth the cheap price. The main levels can be beaten in a day if you have the time, but you then unlock a boss rush mode. It also makes a good game to quickly pick up again with four levels of difficulty that you can replay a level with. Download the demo if you like, it's definitely worth checking out.

This game is incredibly fun. It's all that Jaws game should have been. Not only is addictive, is genuinely funny. You'll have as much fun watching the cutscenes as playing the game.

Anyone can pick up the easy controls. Just point, click and carnage, speed depending on the button/s pressed. Despite the fact that's a casual game, it's so easy and fun to play you'll find it difficult to quit once you started.

There's a first time loading screen which might scare people away, but don't worry, is a one-time thing, after that, every time the game is quick to load and quicker to get to play. And since the disk space is so small, there's no reason to uninstall the game ever.
