    FEATURES

Can you reclaim your ancestors’ land? Evil forces have taken over the once fertile land of Fortiana. You are the only one who can storm the castles and claw it back from the demonic hordes. Experience a new type of strategy and arcade game. Fence off parts of the battlefield to corner your enemies. Collect catapults and power-ups to besiege the fortresses and take on dragons. But beware! As you progress through the levels it gets harder and harder. The fortresses become much larger and the monsters more vicious. Can you emerge victorious and reclaim the land of your ancestors? You are knight Fortix, the sole hope for the desolate and tortured land of Fortiana to become the fertile land that it was before.

Fun and addictive, much like the game it is based on. I did find the easy level was still a little hard for my 7 and 5 year olds, but for me it is great. Even at a higher price it would be a good game.

Fortix is a real gem hiding on GamersGate. It's fun, addictive and cheap! It's the perfect way to spend those lingering blue coins. Based on the old arcade classic Qix, it's all about capturing territory. It's sort of an anti-Tower Defense game as here you are the attacker, trying to take out the turrets. There are power ups, nasty creatures and various other surprises. I highly recommend you check out the demo to see what you think. No matter what type of games you're into, you might enjoy this. Or you might not! But I think it's a very nicely put together game. The music's good as well. The downsides are as follows: 1. You cannot redefine the keys. You are stuck with cursor keys only. 2. This means that by the time I was nearing the final stages, my wrist was starting to ache from the repetitive movements. Not good. 3. The game is pretty easy overall (though there are difficulty settings) but the final level is annoyingly difficult. That's it. A fun game, though don't give yourself RSI.
