Well worth the bargain hunter's time. Quirky story (as in "I'm suspending disbelief far enough to enjoy a plausible timeline") turns out to be supported rather well by a pace somewhere between RTS and first-person capture-the-flag games. It was a bit shorter than expected, but evolving tactics make for great replay.

I bought this game not knowing what the expect.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this game. I found out that the devs of the game are some of the people that worked on Battlefield 2. Naturally this makes Frontlines Fuels of War very similar in gameplay style.

The difference between this and BF2 is that this game has a real campaign mode that follows a storyline in which the world has basically run out of all fuels. A showdown between an Eastern Alliance and a Western Alliance happens and there is much fun to be had.

You get to use some pretty cool futuristic weapons, vehicles and even these little drones that you pilot yourself.

The MP is dying down, but there are still a few servers that always have people in them.

I'd recommend people give this game a shot if you are looking for something that feels familiar, but unique and new at the same time!

This is a fun game. The only complaint I had was that it has heavier system requirements, so I had to play with everything set on low.

The combanation of tradiontal FPS play with capture points was done very well. Vehicles were okay (except the air vehicles; the controls sucked.) but I really liked the remote weapons that were made available. They gave addtional options when you ran into heavy resistance.

Overall, I enjoyed this game and that's what I'm really looking for. Killer graphics mean nothing it the game sucks. I was disappointed that the story was longer. I recommend this game to any who enjoy FPS.

Ahh... good ol' Frontlines! The game that had the potential to beat the crap outta the Battlefield Series but failed utterly in its attempt.

Yet this is no easy game for me to review, for in paper Frontlines is GREAT: amazing graphics, excellent optimization, bunch of vehicles, weapons and toys to play around with! Then why I consider it such a bad game?

Because of its feeble gameplay! This game is seriously lacking in the fun factor... every shot you make feels 'meh' , every vehicle you ride and every point you capture all feel somehow lacluster. It's like there's just no fun in doing anything in Frontlines: not because of the graphics, or the sound nor even the controls for that matter! But because of the game itself.

Overall, it's a 2.5 out of 5 for me...

The Pros: Awesome Graphics with a realistic look if your computer can max out settings. I maxed out mine and the graphics are better than the screenshots I've seen for the game. Very well put together and runs perfectly on Vista with all the patches installed. The first person aspect of the game can really draw you in. One of the best I’ve seen. Well thought out storyline based on real what if scenarios if we continue down our current path.

The Cons: In vehicle parts could have been done a little better. Slightly quirky and goofy. Extremely long download and the need to be patched builds the anticipation but once installed you’ll be glad you did.

Overall for a game under $10.00 you can’t go wrong it will keep you busy for a while and you’ll get your money’s worth.
