This is basically the best FPS ever made. Period. I mean it. There's a myriad of different solutions to every obstacle that you encounter in the game, and there are an equal amount of small things that make this game so awesome. I play through this game regularly, and I find something new about it every time.
There's so much variety in this game that it's hard to overstate it. Want to become a tank that murders everything in his path? Do it. Want to be a superhacker that steals insane amounts of money from public ATMs? Go for it.
The story encapsulates basically every conspiracy theory that's ever been made. You may think that this makes the game stupid; on the contrary, the way that the story unravels is incredibly well written and even convincing.
Buy this game. Even after all these years, it's consistently entertaining.

This game, is simply amazing. It plays like a first-person shooter but it really offers so very much more. Plot, characters, a skill system, and a very reactive world make it an enthralling experience. Again, it is a first person shooter but it is far more "System Shock" than "Duke Nukem 3D". After playing for awhile through a few systems I really have nothing bad to say about it. Probably the highlight of the game for me has been how well the whole world reacts to your choices. What you say in conversations, how you act around others in the world and the manner in which you solve the problems all effect the way other characters will respond to you. Just as an example, when first walking around HQ early in the game I wandered into the ladies bathroom; much to the annoyance of the secretary in it at the time. Later, at the end of my boss' briefing he asked me to stay out of the women's room in the future. There is so many more examples of course but I don't want to give away any of the story. That's right, this game packs a real juicy plot. Finally, I'd like to point out that this game really delivers on its promise to offer multiple solutions to problems. Few games I've played have ever truly responded to a players decision to try different strategies like this one. I passed on try this game many times before eventually giving in and I wish I hadn't. I can't recommend enough that you give it a whirl if you too have been considering it but passing in the past. You won't regret it.

If you have never played Deus Ex then you owe it to yourself to do so. It is without a doubt one of the best games ever made. While at first if appears to be just another sci-fi shooter, it soon turns out to be so much more than that. It is a game which is almost endlessly replayable, with numerous ways to get through almost every situation and with so many choices leading to seriously different consequences depending on what you choose you will almost certainly be replaying this game again and again. While Deus Ex is a little old, as a result the graphics and some gameplay elements are a bit dated but if you can tolerate that then you will not have a problem! There are a couple of mods that improve the graphics out there or in development so graphicly you can make up for that. But graphics are unimportant when considering such a GREAT game.
