GAME SUMMARY

Dungeon Siege 3: Treasures of the Sun

Rating: 4.1 (146 votes cast)

In DUNGEON SIEGE III: TREASURES OF THE SUN, players will extend their journey and travel beyond the borders of Ehb to an all-new environment: the Aranoi Desert. On their search for a lost Legion hero, players will fight through hordes of new villains only to find a forgotten abbey hiding a long-lost secret: the greatest treasure of the Azunite faith.

Further supporting the hours of new content in the expansion, developer Obsidian Entertainment has introduced several refinements to the systems and mechanics of DUNGEON SIEGE III.

  • New abilities: Players will be able to attain mastery of the arcane through powerful new attack, defence and healing abilities.
  • Level up to 35: DUNGEON SIEGE III: TREASURES OF THE SUN will further power-up players by raising DUNGEON SIEGE III's existing level cap from 30 to 35.
  • More monsters and items: Players will encounter new monsters in the Aranoi Desert—including mummies and giant skeletons—and will find more powerful items, adding to the thousands already available in DUNGEON SIEGE III.
  • Reallocate Talent & Proficiency Points:  Players can reallocate points spent in Proficiencies and Talents, enabling changes to character customisation throughout the campaign.
  • New Enchanting System: Transmuting items now gives players chances at gaining powerful new Vials which allow enhancing of weapons and armour through the DLC’s new enchanting system.

A decent and worthwhile dlc...though I have dlc's in general for they are a money grabbing practise, but at least this dlc adds some content, levels, skills, monsters.

At a discount, worth buying.

I wanted to skip this DLC,but then i read that Treasures of the Sun will give you plenty of meat to dive into. There's a good five hours or more worth of sieging dungeons in here, and as Dungeon Siege III goes it's actually rather good. The Aranoi Desert environment itself can be compared to one of the larger campaign areas in terms of scope, with plenty of sidequests, cave systems, temples and dungeons to crawl through. So is a great DLC.

Given that Dungeon Siege III more or less made you run a linear line from locale to locale, Treasures of the Sun fits right in with its new Aranoi Desert environment. If you have already finished the game before, you can just load up the Endgame autosave and get to Aranoi from a new path on the Causeway Hub that would normally lead you to the Chapterhouse and the final battle. If you haven't finished it, you'll be able to access it via the same Causeway Hub after you regain control of the Grand Chapterhouse and complete the Spire levels.

Ok Dlc for an ok game. Dungeon Siege 3 is an average game with which really dosent have much in comman with the original games.

The dlc adds more content a new land, higher levels and the ability to enchant your equipment.

As a dlc it does improve the game somewhat and if you enjoyed the main game then its worth buying. If you didnt like the game there isnt enough here that changes the game for you.
