Excellent game overall. Duex Ex allows the player to play the game they want to play it. Whether they want to go all out Rambo in the game or take the stealth approach, it is up to them. There are many paths towards your goal so again there are many options. However when it came to the boss battles it basically became a shooter and if you are ill prepared for it you may not do so well.

Duex Ex brings you all over the world with an intriguing story. I find that the game has to be played more than once as there are many things you may miss playing it through the first time.

I believe this game is one of those games when you finish it you will think of our future. A lot of choices, ways of finishing a mission, graphics and audio are at a very good level. I never asked for this, did You?

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a fantastic cyberpunk action game that allows you to play the game your way. You can customize abilities to better suit your play style, be it aggressive, stealthy or a hacking expert.

The only problem I have with it is the non-optional boss fights that can easily pose a problem for stealth players or those attempting a no kill playthrough.

None the less, a fantastic game, great, believable story and well worth picking up!

The atmosphere is awesome, totally has the future vibe going. The story is intriguing and the combat feels great. Boss fights are kind of out of place but overall an outstanding game.

One of my favorite games ever. Really cool blend of stealth and action. The only other game I can personally compare it to is Hitman (yes I have a small library), though it is a bit quicker than Hitman. Makes you have to think about how to get past some levels. I just love the game all around.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution, like its augmented hero, is a step above its mundane peers. With its flowing, open approach to mission structure, thoroughly engrossing story and gorgeous visuals, this is the kind of game that all others should strive to be. While there are some elements that don't feel quite as developed as they should have been, and augmentation is more Hobson's choice than true choice, Human Revolution provides a level of quality that only the most adamant cynic could fail to be impressed by.

This game is truly deserving of the name Deus Ex. In fact, there's no other name it could have had.

Deus Ex: HR is a great game, really encourages to do things your way, whether it's shoot everyone or sneak past them. One of my favorite games of all time. The boss battles were a source of controversy, but honestly it's not that bad. While they were admittedly one of the weak points (if not the only weak point), the game as a whole more than made up for it.

I'm generally an FPS player and not too much of a fan of RPG elements, but honestly this game changed my perspective on that.

Great game all around. I love the mission variet and the ability to accomplish the goals in whatever way you want. Shoot-em up or steaclth can both be equally used, and you are not punished for using one over the other. The graphics are solid, but not Crysis good. The voice acting is really good and the story is interesting and keeps your attention.

I would recommend this game to anyone who likes first person shooters with a stealth twist.

Played this game for about 10 hours now, and I love it. beautiful game, great story and I really like the leveling system. Can't really come up with anything negative to say about this game.

Deux ex : Human revolution do a great job at succeding the first deux ex. While the invisible war was a tad deceiving,this one is a great and solid sequel,that i recommend to anyone

An excellent First person stealth game. The real selling point of this title though has to be the conversation battles. I would recommend you do not acquire the personality augment and simply do the conversations on what you think the best response is. Overall excellent game, the only major problem I have with it is its ending is rather silly and rushed.

A nice tie-in from the old classic Deus Ex (I would recommend playing the first game to get some idea on some organisations and characters you meet or read about in HR), althought the main character of the first game is nowhere to be seen here his influence is, where augmentations have been rapidly on the rise but not everyone likes it. You take the role of Adam a security guard of sorts for a large company who specialise in Augmentations for humans. But things go wrong quickly... and you have to buy it to see the story.

Keep an eye on this title getting some deals on it, recently people could buy this for £6.23 on a special weekend deal, but it is worth getting the Augmented edition for the extras including the soundtrack which is really good :)

Very very amazing game, graphically impressive and much alike the old games. I would say the biggest drawbacks are the melee system and the fact that you can't spare any of the bosses from dying.

A fantastic game, but the boss fights really detract from your immersion (in my opinion). They just feel out of place, what with it being a game where you don't have to kill, and then you are forced into 1v1 fights, and they're also a bit clunky (esp. with the stungun). Despite this, I would highly recommend this game, basically cause it's awesome, especially if you're a sucker for orangy/yellow skylines (which I am :D), and stealth stuffs. :)

One of the best games I've played recently. While the story is not as captivating as the original, the game offers plenty of gameplay choices and different paths to take. If you really take your time to enjoy this world, you can have a 40 hour game on your first walkthrough.

If you are into design or film I strongly suggest the Augmented version.

The game is an excellent take on stealth and its immersive world will be highly memorable.

Make no mistake, this game is like no other. The combat and stealth mechanics are refined and original.

I really enjoyed this third installment in the Deus Ex gaming series. It's much better than DE: Invisible War and offers a multitude of gameplay options not normally found in first person shooter games.

Maybe not totally loyal to the hopes and dreams of deus ex fans for a sequel, but it's certainly better than what Deus ex Invisible war has ever been, it's a damn fine game and there is some replayability in order to find things you might have missed in your first playthrough, although the game is easily min maxed you are guaranteed to have fun playing this game, even if the boss battles leave something to be desired.

A very good modern action-RPG, Deus Ex: Human Revolution seems to set a standard for future adventure titles to live up to. The only thing is, it has nothing to do with the original Deus Ex other than the name and the augmentations system.

Great game with an interesting story. There is lots to do, and many different ways to achieve your goals. Had a good replay value, as you can do things differently. Only reason lowering my rating to 4 is the jerky movement which ruined the immersion.

An excellent shooter with a nice blend of stealth and action. For added diversity, there are some puzzle game elements thrown in with the hacking sequences. This does not quite live up to the original Deus Ex, but is an improvement over Invisible war.

Much like the first Deus Ex, Human Revolution continues in the vein of FPS/RPG hybrid gameplay, open ended level design, and tin foil conspiracy theories with a bit more connection to reality to make them feel more tangible this time. Gameplay is solid. Main story missions have multiple paths catering to the player's chosen style of play. Have you upgraded armor and weapon related augs? Bust in the front guns blazing. Wanna sneak around? Find a side entrance and discreetly dispose of baddies. Wanna avoid combat all together? There's a way around it and augs to help you avoid it, too. Levels are well designed all around, and despite being comparable in size to many of the locations in the original Deus Ex, there is a considerable lack of wide open spaces that can make areas of the game feel more claustrophobic than they really are. Still, there are design decisions clearly influenced by console limitations. Many world textures are muddy close up, character model animations during conversations look strange and artifical, the FoV, while modifiable in-game, is decidedly narrow by default, and mouse movement feels jerky. These are minor complaints and do little to negatively impact the overall experience. The PC interface is informative and easy to use. Even without obnoxious preorder bonuses, there's a good variety of weapons and weapon modification which further help you create diversified styles of play. The hacking mini game is actually fun and varied enough that, while you may choose to do a lot of it, it never feels stale or repetitive. Unfortunately, locking picking and multitools are strangely absent. The developers stated they removed these features from the game to focus on the hacking mini game. Personally, I feel the result has been a missed opportunity in providing players that additional redundant layer of getting things done that made the original Deus Ex so replayable and entertaining. It also means players run the risk of investing too many points in hacking just to scour the game world of explorable little secrets at the expense of investing in other fun and equally interesting augmentations available to toy with. However, it makes XP all the more precious since you must think carefully about how you upgrade your character. Their reasoning is sound, but it is unfortunate it comes at the expense of other qualities which made the original Deus Ex so endurable. Regardless, Deus Ex fans should enjoy Human Revolution. If you don't, there is something wrong with you. Being a prequel, Human Revolution is also the perfect place for new players to enter the Deus Ex story. Hopefully it will make more people familiar with one of the greatest PC games.

You are left for dead, broken, but arise stronger than ever. Deus Ex is set in the far future where anything and almost anything is possible from cyborg brains to gunarms (eat your heart out Squall Leonhart). The gameplay is an FPS with heavy RPG element which switch to TPS when needed (such as ducking behind cover or leaning over doorways.) The game is longish, but after you are done you will wish for more. All and all, a great game which some call Mass Effect on earth. Get it now. The Augmented Edition just gets you some behind the scenes movies, an art book and the soundtrack. If that's worth the extra money go for it, if not, don't. NOTE: Being a streamworks title you just get a key code to redeem in your stream client when buying from GG.

Deus Ex Human Revolution is a true successor to the Original Deus Ex. Open ended levels means that there is no single predetermined way to complete a level. The atmosphere is also faithful to the original. It isn't perfect, nor is it memorable as the original, and there are a few flaws, but this game is recommended.

Compared to invisible war this game is 10 steps in the right direction giving the feel of the original game more. My only real gripe with this game is that the boss fights are massively lackluster and pretty much unavoidable.

An excellent game. It has it's flaws, like the discontinuity of being able to solve problems in a variety of ways but bosses only beatable by combat. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could, but I don't feel the flaws warrant the loss of a full star.

Amazing game, fuses old and new together for an awesome experience. The only downside I saw were the really out of place boss battles.

One of the very few FPS/RPG games that i really enjoy amazing soundtrack, voice acting, sounds weapons and Map Designs Etc. i rather enjoy the game a lot and it's easily worth picking up, Even more so during this weekend sale.

Deus Ex is a very deep game with may ways to play it. For me, this really is the least hated game of 2011. 10/10!

This game will make you want to keep coming back for more. Each mission and side mission, can be completed in a wide variety of ways.

Are you strong? Maybe there's a wall you can crack somewhere to get in.

Do you have rebreathers? You might be able to pass the buildings toxic gas escape vents.

Can you make yourself silent? Stealth might be the key?

There are TONS of options and you will love this game. The dialogue is great, and the conspiracy is fantastic to see. You'll never watch Fox News and Media in the same way.

Great graphics, great shooting and stealth action, a lot of choices, a big variety of missions and exploration through the cities.

What's not to like?

Deus Ex Human Revolution is great balanced, story-driven action and rpg game. Every level hub is filled with lots of quests, interesting characters, future and technological lore, engaging combat and meaningful situations which depend on decisions made by the player. It has outstanding atmosphere, excellent graphics and sound, engrossing old-school level design and a though-provoking and deep storyline about the price of new technological advancements with the clash old moral and religious systems. The only drawbacks of the game are restrictive boss fights, designers fascination with painting everything in golden color and ridiculously easy difficulty of the game. Still, it is an excellent game, almost on par with the original Deus Ex and should be experienced by everyone.

Welcome to the world where freedom is a commodity. The setting and the plot are really immersive and well-designed, presentation is beautiful. The gameplay is fluent, and it all fits together. You may try different control schemes to see what setting suits you best, given the specialization you choose to follow.

It nicely recreate the feeling from the first Deus Ex game. It give you tons of freedom on the method of completing objective. As a hybrid of action and rpg, it's action element feel just right and there are enough customization and leveling to keep rpg fans satisfied. The graphic is also top notch. It's a must have in 2011 game list.

The Augmented Edition include some out of game content. In my opinion, the cost is a bit high for those part, but if you find a deal, then no reason not to get it.

easily one of my favourite games of all time, great mechanics, nice upgrade system, great story. While the boss battles are oddly made and dont really jive with the rest of the game, the fact that the game is so good made me ignore that. having different methods to get into buildings and past guards is always fun and this game does it even better than the MGS and Splinter Cell series, in my opinion.

Shooting can be a bit awkward at times, but since most everyone will play a stealthy character, thats not often an issue.

The latest iteration in the Deus Ex series, ostensibly a prequel, is an excellent game. The art and visual style lends it a personality that few modern games can match, and through this very focused art design, they make the entire experience very immersive.

The variety of ways with which you can complete missions and progress through the storyline are very admirable, and the consequences to your decisions do have weight. One criticism that I would have, however, as many have already noted, is the structure and design of the boss battles. The boss battles in DE:HR are very reminiscent of the last generation of games, in a bad way. They are rigid, repetitive, and boring. Not only that, but for a game attempting to raise serious philosophical questions, chief among them being the power over life and death [as evidenced by the ability to do a non-lethal playthrough], having an unavoidable "fight to the death", per se, is not conducive to that line of questioning.

However, with that said, DE:HR remains a very solid linear title that can raise serious questions about the role of technology in our society, and how it may change in the upcoming decades. The questions it explores are profound, though I feel as if it does not do a good enough job in exploring those questions and fully fleshing them out.

As to the city HUBs, the main "centres" from which you embark on main and side quests, so to speak, while they were envisioned beautifully, there was a very distinct lack of immersion to them, in my opinion, and it was detrimental to the overall experience of the game. Had they spent more time developing the experience within the city HUBs and expanding upon the dialogue and quests available within them, perhaps using that as the sorely needing outlet to fully explore the questions they attempted to tackle, it would have been a much more rewarding experience.

Nevertheless, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a beautifully realised title that provokes some very interesting and pressing questions. It stands on the strength of its art and visual design and its flexibility when it comes to completing mission objectives (in traditional Deus Ex form), and in this regard, it flourishes.

I consider it worth the purchase, and do not regret the cost of the Augmented Edition. Granted, I appreciate artbooks and the like, so for those who do not, the standard edition may be more suitable, but if you are a Gamer For Experience that plays for the story and the immersion, this will not be a regrettable purchase.

Deus Ex allows you to complete objectives in multiple ways. Theres something here for everybody, actions fans, strategic fans as well as stealth fans. Myself loving the MGS series can tell you that gameplay in this is similar but not similar enough to see resemblance. Overall great game,8/10

Human Revolution is a good game, being let down mainly by the boss fights.

I dislike boss fights in general but the fights in this game suck utterly. More importantly, they feel completely out of place.

Imagine trying your best to take a stealthy non-lethal approach to the game, which is perfectly possible. Untill you encounter a bossfight that is, where the game turns into an ordinary shooter with an opponent possessing an uncanny amount of hitpoints.

Apart from that the game does allow you a to make some nice choices in your approach, which can vary from taking on everybody head-on to sneaking all the way around them, taking them out one by one, or trying to find a computer that controls the occassional security bot which can be manipulated to take out all your opponents for you.

There are many moments where you work your way through a mission, only to find more and more routes into a building or multiple ways you could have solved a problem. Which ultimately, is what the original Deus Ex was all about.

Only thing that is quite tiring is the over-used cover system found in pretty much any other fps these days.

The story is quite nice, though it doesnt quite have the high-level conspiracy theory stuff from the original. But i won't spoil any of that.

The graphics are quite nice, though frequently the entire world seems to be made out of oranges and brown's, with little variation.

Voice acting is quite good, but for a dialogue-heavy game like this it had better be. The rest of the sounds are good as well.

Due to the cover system and the bossfights i cant rate this game 5 out of 5, so i'll take a point off for those. But apart from that, i was quite enjoying my time with this game and i didnt regret getting it.

Without a doubt one of the best games for 2011. Graphics are good with a great music score to help set that Blade Runner feel. I think this is the most emersive future punk game on the market and anyone with any interest in the genre will appreciate this brillant game

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a spiritual successor to the very first Deus Ex game, which by now has become a classic. It is a heavy story-driven First Person RPG with fairly loose shooter mechanics - there is a bit of stat-driving behind the scenes, but it feels like a pretty fluid shooter. The game also has a heavy focus on stealth and a very developed stealth/cover system which makes it fun to sneak around and down bad guys quietly, and there's no shortage of bad guys. The setting for the game is also quite unique, taking place in the near future just when human mechanical augmentation is reaching the point of being widespread, and all the various political and social side effects (definitely a game for those who like a good involved "conspiracy" story!).

As a throwback to the old game, you also have an inventory and a way to customize your character with various augmentations, from stealth to vision through walls to a weapons system that tosses out explosives all around you.

I definitely recommend this game to anyone looking for a fresh and well-made FPS RPG to suck up 20+ hours of your time.
